With heads bowed reverently, Democrats were led in prayer yesterday by a Muslim imam who essentially asked Allah to assist in converting the party members to Islam, according to a scholar and author.
Robert Spencer, director of Jihad Watch and author of "The Truth about Muhammad," took note of the invocation given at the Democratic National Committee winter meeting by Husham Al-Husainy, imam of the Karbalaa Islamic Education Center, a shiite mosque in Dearborn, Mich.
According to a transcript of the prayer, which can be seen on a video clip provided by HotAir.com, the imam said:
In the name of God the most merciful, the most compassionate. We thank you, God, to bless us among your creations. We thank you, God, to make us as a great nation. We thank you God, to send us your messages through our father Abraham and Moses and Jesus and Muhammad. Through you, God, we unite. So guide us to the right path. The path of the people you bless, not the path of the people you doom. Help us God to liberate and fill this earth with justice and peace and love and equality. And help us to stop the war and violence, and oppression and occupation. Ameen. ...end of excerpt....

I am trying to imagine the MSM response if this were some Jerry Falwell beseeching all those present to follow Jesus.
This is a good example of Islamic doublespeak. To the listening Democrats, no doubt it appeared that the Imam was thanking God for making America great. But as the other words of his invocation make clear, the Imam was thanking Allah for making Islam great and for bringing the lands formerly ruled by the enemies of Islam into Islam. And, of course, looking forward to the day when America also would be ruled by Islam.
Democrats, being good multicultis, don't actually read the Qran or bother about what Muslims actually think, any more than they look into the human sacrifices and tortures practiced by certain Indian civilizations. After all, as designated victim groups it's their right to think as they please.

Anybody read the actual text of the prayer? Slightly different word choice, but with the exception of the reference to Mohammed the same prayer could have been given by a Catholic priest or a Baptist minister.

You all see where the demos are going , kissing up to the same people who may be preaching against our countries in their mosques.The question is do we allow it to happen or do we stop it now with hopefully the defeat of the Clintons. I sure wish that people would have wised up and not lost that congress. Even the great Laura Ingram admitted she thought that the reps would rally at the end.
