President George W. Bush is scheduled to hold a news conference on Saturday with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after he addresses a meeting of House Democrats, congressional aides said on Friday.
Bush will speak to House of Representatives Democrats holding an annual weekend retreat at about 10 a.m. (1500 GMT). Afterward, at about 11:40 a.m. (1640 GMT), Bush, along with Pelosi and other House Democratic leaders, will answer reporters' questions.
Bush, a Republican, will be appearing at the Williamsburg retreat one month after Democrats took control of the House and Senate. With less than two years remaining in Bush's presidency, his policies, including his handling of the Iraq war, are being challenged by Democrats.
The unusual news conference comes as Republicans and Democrats have been stressing the need for more bipartisanship following years of tense relations between the two political parties.

This reminds me of the Kennedy-Education love-fest. Sickening.

Bush has returned to his efforts to create 'bipartisan environment' like he enjoyed in Texas. We'll see if this will last.

Don't worry, this is really great. I'm sure that the RATS and the media will be more than willing to cut him some slack after he is so generous in extending the olive branch... AGAIN. Sheesh, who is giving this guy advice?!?!?! Carville??
To: Spunky
That Pretty Please should have had a < /sarcasm off> after it.

This should bring out the die hards. Bush will do what ever it takes to avoid the litany of investigations lying under the leaves. Strech face knows she has him by the short ones. Bush is and has always been a coward when it comes to defending his positions . He has allowed others to carry the water. His base , except for the koolaiders have finally abandoned him. The only thing keeping him from a malaise moment is the economy. We are ukfayed.

He is not.
What is there a6out his efforts to work with these lunkheads that you don't understand? Would you have him ignore them so that they will 6e all the more empowered to ignore HIM? Did you learn anything from Reagan's years in the WH, and his right understanding that you may not get 100 percent of what you want 6ut if you get 85 percent of it, you've got that in the pocket and can work to get the rest in the next round?
