Eco-Terrorism: When Violence Becomes An Environmentalist Tactic
Capital Research Center ^ | February 2007 | John Berlau

Excerpted from article by John Berlau of Competitive Enterprise Institute, author of Eco-Freaks: Environmentalism Is Hazardous To Your Health

Violence by environmental radicals has become depressingly common in the U.S. Radical eco-terrorists commit arson and corporate sabotage, and some groups have a decentralized structure that seems modeled after jihadists’ diffuse networks of terrorist cells. Regrettably, mainline environmentalist groups have not taken a lead in denouncing direct-action radicals who care little about human life...

...They may no longer believe that humans will starve themselves by exhausting all resources, but that’s not really important to them. They think humans roam on too much habitat that should belong exclusively to plants and wildlife. That’s why environmental groups continue to push population control measures, even as economists and demographers insist that we have an underpopulation problem. For environmentalists, there will always be too many people and too few species!

As long as environmentalists see humans as the enemy, eco-terrorism against human beings by radical elements will continue. This should cause people marching under the umbrella of the environmentalist movement to rethink their premises. It should also be cause for the general public, who are rightly concerned about wildlife and public health, to be skeptical of modern environmentalism.

Ehh... we only have an 'underpopulation problem' because of the pyramid scheme that is governmental entitlements.

...and this is the garbage that they shove down the throats of school children. Then they wonder why those children have low "self-esteem".

I understand they are planning a movie on the monkey wrench gang that started all of this eco terrorism, by spiking trees set for timber cutting, for one thing.
Make no mistake, even mainstream enviros have their ways of terrorizing folks. Wolves in the Rocky Mountain states is one example. They are decimating elk herds, eating large numbers of livestock, even attacking one dog while the owneer was walking it to the barn to try to keep it from being killed as another dog was. It is shrugged off by enviros who want even more wolves and want them to remain totally protected from the ranchers.
