raised eyebrows with his more moderate views on abortion and birth control... A bad example for all Catholics in public life. Hope and pray that he is not in Hell.

After he was forced to step down by Pope John Paul II,
Barney Frank was elected to his seat.

I admire the way in which this man lived out his beliefs, but I admire even more the untold number of people who have lived out their beliefs by taking up arms and defending our country. For every one of these who stand up and preach appeasement and pacifism there are thousands and thousands who have made the ultimate sacrifice to afford them opportunity to live the life they choose.
I have to wonder if this man could drive by a national cemetery and view the rows and rows of crosses, each marking the grave of someone who disagreed with him but fought for his rights, without feeling at least a twinge of respect for those buried there.

A committed liberal anti-war guy who was forced out of politics by the Pope. He ordered priests, monks and nuns to leave government offices. Then guess who replaced him in Congress?
Barney Frank took over his seat. Well, that's the way it happened.

. . . raised eyebrows with his more moderate views on abortion and birth control. In other words, he was ardently in favor of both, especially abortion.
