Maine GOP Sen. Susan Collins wonders "whether the clock has already run out." To U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton the new strategy is "a dead end." For the Bush troop request, presidential candidate Joe Biden predicted "overwhelming rejection." (His committee resolution to that effect yesterday passed by three votes.) Presidential candidate Chuck Hagel: "We have anarchy in Iraq. It's getting worse." And not least, Sen. John Warner this week heaved his tenured eminence against the war effort, proposing another "non-binding" resolution against more troops.

They are all a bunch of pusillanimous craven political whores, merely seeking to acquire more power through the ruination of this nation!
So it's powder-dry time. Glad I moved from CA to NC, where I can defend myself and have a good reason to do so.
No need to depend on these folk: I just feel bad for those who either won't or can't escape their clutches.
Everyone said this last election was about Iraq. That is only because the lib media was able (with the help of the lib politicians) to convince the American people that Iraq was the problem. What it was really all about was Bush hatred and payback to us for Bill Clinton. The media was actually responsible for the increase in violence in Baghdad, and hence, responsible for many, many deaths. They aided and abetted our enemies until what they wanted to happen actually did happen. The left in this country, for political reasons only, have created a monster.
The emotion-laden sensationalism of the media is so hard to take, no wonder people want crises to just be over. I noticed that during Katrina. People didn't so much demand solutions as they wanted it off their TV's. How many red blood smears do we need to see on pavement? I just turn it off.

It is called Propaganda and it is working - the old adage of "be careful what you wish for" could not be more appropriate. Thousands of voters have been parroting without researching for the truth in Iraq or looking at who was doing the talking, have opened Pandora’s Box and are now scrambling to put the miserable truth of defeatist and more back in said box. Very true and how sad that the MSM , the Dems, and liberalism in general, hate America even when they do not think they do! Perhaps it is because they do not recognize the sin of pride and self-righteousness in themselves!
I believe Warner turns 80 this year. If he goes for re-election in 2008, I hope he has a strong, conservative opponent in a GOP primary. He's another RINO we could do without. IIRC, his only opposition in 2002 was the Libertarian.
