As has been said before, he is not an African-American candidate--just dark. He was rasied in priveleged circusmstances, attended Harvard Law School and has not a trace of Ebonics in speech or living other than a history of drug use.

His claim to fame is he is the candidate of the guilty White, meritocratic liberal who see in Obama a transcendental experience of "can't we all get along" or "Gee, we are all multicultural now.." That is why he sells.

He obviously is more liberal, antiwar and radical than any of the other candidates but like most charlatons he pictures himself as a "uniter not a divider" and so on and so on.

He will be tough to beat!

If he's not too blasphemous towards Queen Hillary during the primary he may be given her VP slot.

The stupid party will hand them the election.

Obama had one black parent who wasn't even American. He grew up from age 2-10 in Indonesia with a Muslim step-father and then spent the rest of his time in Hawaii with his white mother. The only reason he's called "African-American" is simply because of skin-tone, not because of any cultural or ethnic factor. He has no relationship at all to any of the U.S. civil rights struggles. About the closest he comes is having had a teenaged mother and a black father who abandoned him at an early age.

The libs are trying every trial balloon -- including Obama, trying to pass him off as a Black American. Which he is not. He just looks that way. His Black ancestry is not even from America and he is only part Black. He is also totally unqualified to be a President, and he is a socialist.

Just another liberal carpetbagger.

Barrack Hussein (sp) Obama is NOT running for president, he'll be Hillary's running mate.

I doubt he will appeal widely to black Americans. Not because he's half white, because a lot of black Americans have white ancestry. But because he's a "stranger," as this pastor says.

His father was African. He grew up in Indonesia and Hawaii. He attended an Islamic madrassah, for two years according to one version, or maybe for four years. Sure, Hawaii is a state, but it's a very exotic state with a different kind of population. I don't think all this will play well with southern or urban American blacks. He's not really one of them. Maybe that will change, but it will certainly give hillary some useful leverage against him.

I don't see how you can stop him if he gets the nomination. It seems that everything is blowing against his back; the media loves him, compelling life story, very amiable, golden tongue, and not divisive. If the harder thing he has to do is convince black leaders that he is one of them then he is going to clobber Hillary. Add that to the fact that any personal attacks against him will be viewed as racist.

In reality, I don't think racism is very strong in the U.S.A. There maybe some soft racism out there. But the hard-core racists that will not vote for him is probably less than a half percent.

Heck, I even like the guy and I am very conservative. Yikes, I can't see him being stopped and the Dems will have all three branches of government!!!!
