Proud of our OK Republican delegation and disgusted with the one DemocRAT who had to come and say what he did and then says he will not vote to cut off funding. He had better not vote to cut off funding because he would have his Dad to answer to who is a foreign policy advisor to the President.
IMHO Boren is weasel wording to save face to Pelosi -- disgusting.

"does little to encourage the Iraqis to take responsibility for their own future."
That is one weak argument, isn't it? The Administration is doing everything it can to encourage the Iraqis. How is chaos going to encourage them?

My Congressman Tom Cole is good friends with Duncan Hunter. He also was named to head the NRCC and they couldn't have found a better person.
We are fortunate to have Senators Inhofe and Coburn representing us! At least Oklahomans got that right!

Dan Boren's arguments are usually pretty weak. His Dad, OU President and former Senator David Boren, has forgotten more on foreign policy then his son will ever know. David Boren was all about criticism of the President stopped at the water's edge in time of war and was the Senator responsible for helping get Clarence Thomas confirmed. The son is a chip off the mother not the father.

Is anyone surprised? He's a Democrat, for heaven's sake! Curses on those who elected him.
When a person claims himself a Democrat, he is a traitor, because he has, at the very least, given tacit approval to the Democrat National Party leaders--and we know what they are.

You are correct, David Boren was a "Zell Miller" style Democrat, as was my Mother. He was probably more Conservative than most Republicans today. Sorry to hear about his "boy". I didn't know much about him--except that I'd never vote for him.

I am not surprised but you should have seen the crap he came out with that he was going to stand up to Pelosi and may not even vote for her. Snake oil salesman comes to mind!

Fortunately he lives in NE OK on the other side of the State. My Congressman Tom Cole was outspoken in his support of his plan.
David Boren was a "Zell Miller" style Democrat and still is -- his son doesn't have a clue!

Yes, I was sure all that "brave talk" wouldn't last long---from any of those CONSERVATIVE new Dims. They just simply "owe" Pelosi, et al, to much. As far as she's concerned, they were elected due to her efforts---and don't think they won't hear about it---everytime they turn around!!

Exactly! You are so right and it is already coming out that their "brave talk" was just that talk and no substance!

I know -- all his talk before the election and then right after made me think he was his father's son because he was going to stand up to Pelosi but I was wrong, he takes after his mother who gave us that obnoxious horse with the red glowing eyes and the other hiddeous statute now at the Fred Jones Museum of Art Museum. If you haven't seen the new statute, you cannot miss it on Elm.

I keep trying to tell my Democrat friends, this is the danger of voting for an "Oklahoma Democrat". When they get to Washington, they're going to vote the way they're told to vote - by guess whom?
