Why would you want to stare or take pictures? Would you want to take a situation where no one needs to be uncomfortable and turn it into a confrontation? Do you stare and take pictures of women who are not breastfeeding?

Do you stare and take pictures of women who are not breastfeeding? They do it all the time. They're called security cameras. : )

I've never seen a woman breast-feed in public. And quite honestly, I'd feel pretty uncomfortable with it. Heck, I'd probably stare, too.
Why should a very small minority of the population have special protection to make everyone else feel uncomfortable?

Why would you want to stare or take pictures? Would you want to take a situation where no one needs to be uncomfortable and turn it into a confrontation? Actually, I feel uncomfortable...and could care less whether some lactivist or fellow traveler thinks I 'need' to.
It's either appropriate public behavior, or not...my working definition of appropriate public behavior is behavior that you wouldn't mind seeing on the front page of the paper.
If she feels uncomfortable having her picture taken, she shouldn't be doing it in public.
