Hi absolootezer0-

That very popular knife was picked as one that is utilized by hundreds of thousands of people around the world countless times per day. They now have the latest improved version called the Delica 4 that addresses the things you've mentioned. My preference is for Benchmade, Microtech, and Busse and I've happily owned several Spyderco models in the past. Resist the urge to use the knife as a prybar and you'll likely save your tips.

I've had the same Spyderco clipped to my belt for over 10 years.

No complaints.

I keep wanting to buy a new knife, but since this one works so well I don't really have a reason to.

rofl. can't help it, there's never a prybar around when you need one. :)
i've owned a number of spydercos and loved them all, it was just that one model that didn't work for me. i relaced it with a different spyderco with a much thicker blade, never had a problem. currently i'm carrying a crkt m16. love the way it opens.
