We need to solve the problem, assuming it is even within our power to do so. Some suggest, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for instance, that the United States should send more troops to establish stability and security. That idea probably made sense in 2003, but I think we are far beyond the point where we can fix this problem militarily. We have unleashed political, religious and ethnic forces that cannot be contained by a few thousand more American soldiers.
We need to talk with the states neighboring Iraq to work out a plan to keep that country together. They all have an interest in keeping Iraq in one piece. We would have to swallow our pride and actually work with countries we consider to be adversaries. So be it.
It is morally wrong for our nation to keep our soldiers fighting in Iraq. They are giving their lives in a war that was based on hubris and arrogance. They are giving their lives in a war that we cannot win.
We need to bring the troops home.

Where is the BARF alert, least a comment!?
No.
How's that for an answer?
How about we admit that PC methodology has not been successful and turn the military loose to finish the job?
Agreed, but the above plea to admit defeat and run away is horse-dung of the highest order nontheless...
Francis, Is it painful to be this stupid?
The military effort was HIGHLY successful.
Every military objective was achieved, and was secured.
Now, there is a different phase going on.
We are having trouble with nation-building, not acquiring military objectives.
We are facing the equivalent of a well-armed street gang, not an identifiable army.
And the supply and logistics for this gang is coming from outside Iraq.
This guy must have a hell of a time wiping his arse and tying his shoes with his hands raised above his head like that.
Sorry, I don't like adding "BARF ALERT" to titles. Don't you think the article speaks for itself?
"How about we admit that PC methodology has not been successful and turn the military loose to finish the job?"
GET OUT OF MY MIND!!!!
(great minds think alike!!)
Gee I wonder where some of the information came from that helped us stop alQaeda operatives from killing innocents in America and Europe....I guess we could have gotten it had we just asked Saddam nicely
< /crap>
Nuck Fo!!!

What exactly, would be Ahmadinejad's interest in keeping Iraq united? He's only interested if the Sunnis and Kurds become the slaves of the Shi'ites.
Get the message out: We're winning in Afghanistan
