It never occurs to them that the "people in power" have a different set of facts/stats, which are more accurate

There is indeed a different set of numbers, used for FBI intelligence purposes, than those found in the FBI's National Crime Report, in which Hispanic and Mexican/OTM perpetrators are categorized as *white*.

Fine. Where are the government stats, Ben? Let's see them.

Please, do not solicit the commission of a felony here at FR.

(2) A disclosure pursuant to paragraph (1) is authorized only when the head of the agency approves such disclosure and the disclosure is not prohibited by any other law.

(3) This section does not restrict or diminish any confidentiality protections in law that otherwise apply to data or information acquired by an agency under a pledge of confidentiality for exclusively statistical purposes.

Since this is from Farah and World Nut Daily, something tells me that he multiplied the number by a factor of 5 or more in order to get the title of the article.

In California, not only do they not hold valid drivers licenses, they also do not carry insurance.,

And when they are involved in an accident, it's a virtual certainty they will run.

the relative asked the cops if the illegals were going to be arrested. Instead the cops threatened to arrest not the illegals but the family member and friend.

On what grounds?

I don't know what grounds but I've discovered that cops in my area don't need a "grounds". They will use disorderly conduct as a reason if they have to. A year ago or so I was threatened with arrest for calling a guy in my complex a fag**t.

Now this is the kind of statistic that a conservative needs to run on in 08. You tell the American public this and go "ooohhhh....terrrible.....whos going to stop it....ahhhh" And then the candidate says "I am".

I wonder how that stacks up with how many soldiers we lose in Iraq daily.

Frequently we see King's speech mentioned as some sort of insight on crime. There is a link to Kings speech above and you can read it.

What he does is take the incarceration rate and tries to use it as an indicator of crime rate. Additionally, he uses raw numbers instead of the "per 1000" numbers.

As a generality we say that, per 1000, the crime rate of hispanics is higher than the crime rate of whites, and that the crimes rate of illegal hispanics is higher than that of hispanics. Hispanics are more likely to be convicted, incarcerated, and sentenced longer than whites. Illegal Hispanics are more likely to be convicted, incarcerated, and sentenced longer than hispanics.

So if you take the crime rate of each of these three groups, and multiply it by conviction and incarceration rates plus longer sentencing, you would expect to see relatively more hispanics in prison and even more illegal hispanics.

King's attempt to equate prison population with crime rate is very misleading.

Then we have to look at the issue of overall crime and drug crime.

What we see is that, with the exception of drug crimes, the overall crime rate is trending down.

Additionally, we see that criminal aliens are highly involved in drug importation and distibution. There is also a lot of violent crime associated with the drug trade.

Based on this, we would expect these illegal/criminal aliens to commit more crime and be incarcerated.

Now, in addition to crime stats based on race/ethnicity, we have to look at stats based on age.

It doesn't make any difference if that they are white, black, brown, or pink. Most crime is committed by young people.

19-28 commit a lot of crime
29-38 commit less
39-48 even less

The median age in the US is now 37. The median age in Mexico is 25. Then consider that the illegal is likely to be younger than the median age in Mexico.

Because most of the illegals are in the age group that commit a lot crime, we would expect them to commit more crime and be incarcerated more.

But, but they're only here to work!! And we should pay for this with prison costs, WHY?
