This on the heels of the Mancow special. I liked Mancow, and liked his special, but it doesn't belong on a 24 hour news channel. Neither does this comedy being floated by us now.

They are fine but just belong somewhere else, I think.

Yeah Miller was such a hit on CNBC!.

I think you have to be funny to have a show.

"but it doesn't belong on a 24 hour news channel"

Why not? Personally, I get sick of seeing one host after the other show the same tired media-bytes and make the same comments all day long and into the evening. When the weekend comes we just have all these condensed into a weekend of programming that is nothing but a repeat of the week's programming. Some shows are even repeated as many as 3 times in a viewing day.

Lighthearted news/political programming is a good thing, IMO.

ROFLOL!

That was SNL? Gee, they actually displayed a sense of humor there. They've been a bit dour of late, according to reports -- haven't watched myself in quire a while.

I agree, but just not on a self-identified news channel. You're right about news programming, especially the weekend lineup, but I think having a comedy show in the lineup is un-newsworthy.

FOX will score another hugh time slot victory. The problem for the MSM is that they altogether compete with the same venue (DNC talking points and socialism) for a Democrat audience, whereas FOX is a single voice walking in the middle towards the Right. And that ALL RIGHT by me.

"I caught this guy Mancow on Fox Saturday night. What's up with this guy?"

Mancow reminds me of "Bill the Cat" and how I perceive Mia T. Twenty cups of coffee followed by a six-pack of Jolt Cola.

Nothing personal, Mia, it is JMHO.

How about lampooning the Dems' "kulture of korruption." highlighting Murtha's newly released Abcam bribe on film, his anti-Marine tirade, the corrupt Alcee Hastings as the new head of Intel House committee (couldn't get a job as a janitor at CIA because of his lack of integrity) Harry Reid's land deals, Brian Dorgan's big money deals with Abranoff, Menedez, and of course the fact that Nancy Pelosi applauded House-Page sex-abuser Gerry Studds on prime committee assignments, knowing what he did.

That could work. After all the article said the show would be making fun of the lefts "Sacred Cows".

The Daily Show seems to have pushed shows like SNL further to the left. Sometimes it seems like they're not even trying to be funny anymore.

Regardless of their political sway, it hasn't been funny in a decade.

This is going to be huge

If it turns out to be big enough, it can get rolled out into the big FOX network, just like Dayside was, but this new show would be on Saturday nights..

For crying out loud, they have little enough "news" on FNC as it is.

I thought there was a Fox-Net, Fox-Lite, Fox-Fox, Fox-Etc., etc for this kind of bilge.

I'd like a dedicated conservative channel. One which does not give libs half the air time, because it is trying to be fair and balanced. I'm 60 now, and don't want to spend a good part of my remaining years listening to lying libs.

I'd like a dedicated conservative channel.

I'd settle for a channel that just called things relatively fair, with only slight biases now and then in either direction depending on the biases of the personality.

viewers.
