I just googled this guy's name and came up with someone of the same name who was mentioned in news stories as a colonel in the Iraqi National Guard. Not the same guy I hope.

The combat jump star is not the one above the wings, or canopy actually. 1st combat jump star goes on the risers, is smaller and of a different color.

The star above the wings refers to jumpmaster status.

The star's right above the wings as stated, right? Not on top of the chute as not stated, right? Do tell oh mighty guru.

Unnecessary corrections need not apply.....in case you missed it.
