I think it's true. It traveled from the 14th century (i.e. Iran) into the modern 21st century world. Pretty impressive, I think it's actually a magic carpet.

1) I think it is probably real.

2) It is completely unremarkable that the Iranians were able to capture this footage if our carrier is operating in restricted waters such as the Persian Gulf.

“A source in the Revolutionary Guard said the drone carried out its mission without US fighter pilots reaching it wanting to waste time or fuel on it,” the television said.

Fixed it.

Well, those aren't F-14s on the bow. First, F-14's aren't ever parked up there. Second they show noticeable daylight between the wings and empenage. Something you never see on a parked F-14.

There is nothing to prevent a flyover if not at war. The Soviets did it all the time, as do we.

Looks like FA-18s and an E2C on the deck. FA-18 wings are short with a straight edge. F14 wings are longer and swept at 120 on deck, 168 degrees in fairly rapid flight e.g. re-entering the pattern at Miramar as I observed them for 17 years.

The planes on the stern are most definately F-18s (note the angled tails) ,and the big bird on the right cat is definately a Hawkeye . But the left cat (port bow) is not clear enough to tell F-14 or F-18.

I don't think we reacted because everyone was on deck pointing and laughing.

It's just amazing what the Iranians have accomplished with balsa wood and rubber bands.

Congrats! You broke the internet. It won't come up now.

I laughed when I saw it on Drudge earlier. No enemy aircraft of any altitude gets that close to an aircraft carrier fleet undetected let alone un destroyed.

Shouldn't a number be visible on the flight deck?

I was told a few years back, that the only reason
that the F-14 Tomcat had not yet been phased out,
was because it was the only fighter in our arsenal
that could deliver a small strategic nuke....JJ61

Look at the aircraft near the rear elevator it could be an F14 with it wings fully extended (getting ready for a cat shot off the angle deck?)...that aircraft wings near the rear elevator just look to long and thin for an F18 and to small for an E2 (could be an S3 but I thought they were retired too)

Flew out of Honolulu International once on United Airlines and we flew right over a boomer plowing its way through the waves. Don't know which one it was, but it was a beauty. Heck, if I had had a cheap throwaway camera I could've taken a picture just like that -- only it would've been of an American nuclear submarine instead of an aircraft carrier. I imagine someone could've done the same with this carrier.

I don't believe the Iranians could fly a drone over an American carrier undetected. And as far as iranian time travel goes, it's ludicrous. Even today they couldn't beat the iraqis in a fair fight. We beat them in, what, ten days? Iranians... Stupid throwbacks... I don't think they've ever won a Nobel Prize in science. They're not going to suddenly start traveling in time, lololol! They've never given any indication whatsoever that they are intellectually fit for discoveries of that kind.

Look at the three aircraft amid ships directly across from the island... see the one on far right near the real elevator?... sure look more like an F14 with wing extended in takeoff mode... and F18 wings would be shorter and wider

These photos were obviously taken from a "Flying Carpet". Being that the carpet fibers and the carpet rider do not reflect radar back to the ships they can fly over anything they want and take pictures. These are very intelligent people. They have given the world flying carpets, hacksaw decapitations (captured on film no less), the ancient art of stoning to death helpless ladies suspected of adultery.

Not to worry, the USA is now under the control of the Democrats. I am sure that they will make everything right again.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com i'd say the Navy knows damn well if it's real or not just from asking what the plane layout was on deck of the day in question...
