Well I suggest that Republicans are careful in their choice than. No to Gingridge and Guilliani for sure. McCain (soft no). I would vote for any conservative though.
The voters should not get involved in the primary. The GOP should decide who should win the primary. If the voters don't go along with the GOP, the candidate should be abandoned.
