By the time the Primaries come along, it may already be too late. If all the GOP offers is RINO's, the choice becomes no choice.
"Can't the GOP do better than McCain? I really want to see a younger person. (New ideas--new blood)"
Exactly! Rick Santorum comes to mind. So what if he can't win PA...he's about the only conservative I can think of in the GOP who has a semblance of a spine. We might want to seriously push for him to form a PAC. He's young and vibrant and well-spoken.
McVain is toast.
"Primaries, primaries, primaries. THAT is where Republicans should make their ideological stand. Once the ticket is formed, we MUST come together and prevent a complete liberal takeover of government."
Well I suggest that Republicans are careful in their choice than. No to Gingridge and Guilliani for sure. McCain (soft no). I would vote for any conservative though.
I can't answer you because I don't know.
Amen to that sentiment. I haven't lived in Minnesota for years but my friends there tell me Pawlenty is a wonderful candidate for the GOP. He is pro-life and otherwise conservative. He would make McLame look like the liberal he is.
Barbour/Steele. Actually, Barbour and anyone!
I've had Pawlenty of McCain, already....
I'm extremely distressed to have to say that Colorado has already gone blue. The new governor is a Democrat. One senator is a Democrat and the other, a staunch conservative, barely eked out his victories in the last two elections (1996 and 2002). Our state legislature is in Democrat control.
If you'd said to me ten years ago that this could happen, I'd have laughed.
Don't call me a moron. The primaries haven't even commenced, Miss or Mister Hissy Fit.
Then don't act like one. Propping up an insane half-liberal as a serious candidate choice is idiotic.
That's Kyl.
If Kyl can win by 9 pts and Bush in 2004 by 11 why would say AZ is trending blue?
Pawlenty has been a bulwark against the Demonrats in Minnesota. Particularly now that the GOP was slaughtered in the state legislature (Pawlenty is the only state-wide winner), he can buff his credentials by vetoing whatever crapola the DFL comes up with.
Amen. That's exactly what has happened to Colorado. My county is also very red, but the rest of the front range is deep blue, and they've become numerically superior state-wide.
Read my post #46. This is exactly why we MUST do something about the illegals and NOT what Bush has in mind.

Does anybody really think that:
Rummy resigning *after* the election rather than before,
Bolton resigning *after* the election rather than before,
Chafee resigning *after* the election rather than before,
Ultra-liberals Pelosi and Reid being in position to move into leadership positions,
Are all 'coincidences'?
Open your eyes, they are screaming.
