Why do these people think they should be supported by service organisations because at one time they were in the service/
Does she belong to the VFW? Is she a member of the American Legion? Does she support a flag amendment? What are her views and opinions? Does she support cut and run?

Does she belong to the VFW? She does not live in the district she is running to represent; it is unlikely that she shops in the district, goes to church in the district, or even knows that many people in the district.
What has never been explained in the local paper stories about this person is why she chose to run in that district in the first place. But why should objective media sources provide objective analysis?

" Does she support cut and run?"
- Yes. Another web site which touts her background has her quoted as saying the US must get out of Iraq. She was recruited by Dem operatives who approached her while she was still undergoing recovery at Walter Reed Hospital - which must say something about their selection criteria for office. It must have been, pick a candidate who is:
a) a woman (soccer mom vote)
b) a vet (military vote)
c) handicapped in some manner (sympathy vote)
You can why they pounced on Duckworth when they spotted her while cruising the wards at Reed looking for the ideal pick.
Apparently, the previous Dem candidate who had wanted to run again and who had gotten 44% in the last election was dropped by the Dems like a bad habit once they landed Duckworth.
