Election Day Weather Forecast
The Weather Channel ^ | 10-02-06 | Tall_Texan

Granted, longterm weather forecasts are like flipping a coin but the Weather Channel is showing long-range forecasts through next Wednesday that indicate a warm and rather dry Election Day for most of the country.

Highs throughout most of the heartland will be in the 50s and 60s. Rain is forecast for states in the Mississippi Valley (including Missouri) but it should otherwise be dry throughout the rest of the country. If this proves accurate, I don't think there will be significant reasons for low turnout on Tuesday.

>>>Kapisch?<<<

If you're going to use Italian, don't spell it like Polish.

Capisce is an Italian word that initially became popular in English in the 1940s, popularized by Italian immigrants in America's eastern cities and by use in onscreen portrayals of Italian-Americans, often in organized crime roles.

It means "Get it?" and comes from the Italian capisci? ("do you understand?"), deriving from the verb capire, to understand. It is commonly misspelled and mispronounced, and has been rendered in English as "coppish," "capeesh," and "kapish,"[1] among other variations. Confusion about its meaning is memorably recorded in an episode of The Simpsons, in which a hardboiled supermarket security guard appends it to a warning to Bart.

I will be working most of the day on Election Day and prefer not to be rained upon when pleading for Democratic voters to throng their polling places out here in Westmoreland County, PA.

Make sure you bring plenty of cigarettes and alcohol to hand out; I understand that's the second best way to get a Democrat to the polls. The preferred method, of course, is getting them from the cemetery.

I'm not sure it's going to make it as far as Rhode Island. Virginia would be kinda iffy too.
