Election Day Weather Forecast
The Weather Channel ^ | 10-02-06 | Tall_Texan

Posted on 11/02/2006 10:21:18 AM PST by Tall_Texan

Granted, longterm weather forecasts are like flipping a coin but the Weather Channel is showing long-range forecasts through next Wednesday that indicate a warm and rather dry Election Day for most of the country.

Highs throughout most of the heartland will be in the 50s and 60s. Rain is forecast for states in the Mississippi Valley (including Missouri) but it should otherwise be dry throughout the rest of the country. If this proves accurate, I don't think there will be significant reasons for low turnout on Tuesday.

A disappointment for anyone expecting harsh weather to reduce turnout.

At this point, every factor is important. Thanks for the tip.

Great news!

I will be working most of the day on Election Day and prefer not to be rained upon when pleading for Democratic voters to throng their polling places out here in Westmoreland County, PA. Jason Altmire and Bob Casey are my favorite candidates. The incumbents have failed us in Iraq and on the economy. Jason Altmire and Bob Casey deserve a chance to reverse the multitude of mistakes foisted upon us the past 5.5 years.

Maybe you can persuade Hanoi John to come out of the Kerrybunker and help them campaign...

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

Post a comment like that (in support of Republican candidates) at DU and you'd be tombstoned so quick it would make your head spin.

And conservatives are supposedly the "intolerant" ones!

This is what I think every time I see one of your posts; thanks for reminding me of the hypocrisy of the left!

The economy is booming, you idiot. I guess if you're on welfare you wouldn't know it.

Go for it! I'm in favor of every eligible voter taking the time to vote. As long as voters are eligible, alive and vote only once, I have no problem with citizens expressing their preference.

Aren't you the leftist nutjob who called the Bush Administration "CHRISTOFASCIST TERRORISTS?"

YES, YOU DID.

Care to disavow that claim, or has your syphilitic dementia advanced beyond hope?

The low pressure system stalled over Massachusetts is expected to remain until both senators are replaced.

ROFLMAO

That's like saying "Special Ed" from the Crank Yankers show deserves a chance to fix the incorrect test answers on the most recent MENSA admissions exams.

"I'm gonna fix MENSA tests.....YEEEAAAAAAAY!!!!!"
"I'm gonna fix America.....YEEEAAAAAAAY!"

Special Ed or Bob Casey? You decide.

Unemployed huh?

No, but I my income is considerably lower than during the Clinton-Gore glory years and my expenses for fuel, clothing, and utilities are considerably higher. With the Iraq occupation consuming so much money needlessly it's no wonder that government services have declined too. There's no way I could vote for any Republican on my ballot next week.

Because I'm conservative on issues such as balancing the federal budget and preserving social security in its present form, and pro-life on issues like stopping the rampant killing in our couterproductive occupation of Iraq, and for protecting the Constitution interpretations allowing torture and arbitrary unlimited time imprisonment of U.S. citizens.

You may get Casey, but be careful what you wish for.

Have a nice weekend.

Then once again why are you here? Preserving social security in its present form is an impossibility. It will either change or it will be bankrupt. And I don't know what the heck you are talking about when you say "for protecting the Constitution interpretations allowing torture and arbitrary unlimited time imprisonment of U.S. citizens." It makes no sense.

Are things so bad in GOP-sympathetic ranks that we are hitching our wagon on weather reports?

Confidence, people.
