Laura Bush to stump for Doolittle, Pombo

First Lady Laura Bush will visit Northern California later this week to campaign for two GOP incumbents in hot re-election races, John Doolittle and Richard Pombo.

Her trip comes on the heels of a fundraising swing President Bush made for the two candidates at the beginning of October.

The first lady will appear at a get-out-the-vote rally for Doolittle on Thursday evening in Rocklin. She'll do a rally for Pombo in Pleasanton Friday morning.

If the highly popular Laura Bush needs to pull two Republicans from safe districts out of the fire, conservatives are in for a long election night. One can only hope that Schwarzenegger can give them some coattails to ride on.

The Dems have pulled out all the stops to get Pombo. The envirowhakos absolutely detest him, and the rest of the libs can't stand having any Republican in Congress from the Bay Area.

Lynne Cheney took apart Wolfgang Blitzer; Laura remains terrifically popular. I would note that (as part of the October Surprises from the Dhimmicrats) the supermarket checkstand tabloid The Examiner had a cover story claiming that Laura was going to divorce GWB; around these parts I kept seeing that issue (just lone copies) on the checkstands for two weeks or more.

I saw that sleaze cover, looked at the article out of curiosity, and found the article to be one hundred percent fabricated and without any foundation.

This was surely part of the planned October attacks against Bush, and intended to diminish both his and Laura Bush's appeal on the campaign trail.

What it does do is to say everything about the kind of people who, thorough hate and very evil methods and intent, seek to destroy everything that the President and Mrs. Bush stand for and, indeed, that all conservatives stand for.

Goodness will triumph evil every time.
