And if there is an ID/Cred found on the dead body and it belongs to a LEO, you are (a) likely to be shot by another LEO, or (b) facing murder charges.

Creds aren't checked until all threats are eliminated. If it's miscreants operating under the color of law, I may get an opportunity to check creds. Since JBT's are probably there in overwhelming force, I guess I'll just have to kiss my *ss goodbye.

a home owner that reacts to defend himself and his family can meet a tragic fate from the police or the criminal.

The suspect kicked in the back door of the home on Hidden Court, in a subdivision off Welcome All Road, about 4 a.m., setting off the home's burglar alarm,

The Perp was on a mission to kill the home owner if the alarm didn't scare him off...

I have never understood how anyone that supports the 2nd amendment can also support the common use of no-knock raids since it basically makes gun ownership useless for defense.

Anyone who supports no-knock police raids on private homes is just asking for a totalitarian dictatorship like Nazi Germany's or the Soviet Union's.

According to the 4th Amendment we have the right to be secure in our homes. But that right is just an illusion if cops are allowed to break down doors in the middle of the night without any warning or a showing of proper identification and the warrant itself. Preventing drug evidence from being flushed down the crapper is not anywhere near worth giving up one of the most important of all the rights that are guaranteed to us by the BOR amendments. We should all be bombarding our Senators and Congresscritters with demands to outlaw this Gestapo-like tactic that has reverted law enforcement back to the time of King George and his home invading redcoats.

Just for the record, I am strongly opposed to illegal drug use and I have never used a regulated drug myself other than for prescribed medical purposes.

While I understand the reasoning of Scalia that the Constitution does not necessarily require a "knock and notice," such search warrants need to be rarely used. Anyone can quickly see that if people are in someone's house in the dark hours of the morning, and they haven't identified themselves that the situation can quickly turn deadly. How then, does one justify going into a house without giving notice, and having an officer killed because the resident did not know that it was the police? Personally, I think drugs and other illegal paraphernalia are not worth having an officer killed in a no knock situation. Unless hostages or the general public are in immediate danger, I would strongly urge law enforcement officers to stay away from serving this type of warrant on dangerous subjects.

You sure it wasn't just your typical FBI agent? Sounds like typical JBT behavior to me.

I concur with your statement. I have had some personal experience with the Gestapo. For example, a marijuana user for personal use should not have to endure such harsh treatment and tactics. Heck most would let them in and turn things over to them with no problems. A difference of opinion does not always make a violent criminal.I'll bet anyone who has had to suffer such harsh treatment no longer feel the same as they may have toward law enforcement.
