Tax protester Robert Beale has left tantalizing clues about his whereabouts in the 10 weeks since he failed to show up for his trial, prompting a federal manhunt for the North Oaks CEO who owes Uncle Sam $1.6 million. Since disappearing in August, Beale, 63, has filed a court document asserting his innocence, sent e-mails to friends and relatives and hid out in a mobile home in western Wisconsin, barely escaping a raid by law enforcement agencies.
A few federal income tax critics, some of whom belong to a tax protest group that meets monthly in Maplewood, have rallied to his defense, filing affidavits in court supporting him.
Beale is most likely somewhere in the Twin Cities area or in the region immediately surrounding it, said John Murphy, a deputy U.S. marshal.

WELCOME TO FREE REPUBLIC'S MINNESOTA PING LIST!!!
Let me know if you want on or off this list!
Al Capone was the King of Chicago. Money, babes, weapons. Untouchable. Teflon before they knew what Teflon was. And what finally took him down was tax evasion.
"..owes Uncle Sam $1.6 million.."
Maybe he is hiding out at Harry Reid's Nevada home getting real estate investment advice.

"... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any
government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one MAKES them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.
......just pass the the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted -- and you create a nation of law-breakers -- and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with." - p.411,
