There is one way to fix this.

Yesterday there was a post about our Marines being ordered to hold fire when under sniper attack. The reason is that they thought they would do harm to the civilizing of the locals by stray fire and leveling the town in return.

To be fair and balanced - holding fire is not working. We appear to be on the short end of combat. It appears that the local troops are very slow to lead.

It is time for US to fire back with devastation in mind. That will give CNN something to report but for only the short amount of time it takes to clean up that pile of sh*t called Iraq.

This may backfire on me, but I sent them a "contact us" email telling them they were doing the same crap with Sadam's crew when they had "special access". I sent that comment with my real name and my military email address.

I wonder if they'll post my complaint with the email address attached--and visible--to screw me over?

My opinion only.... justa a few thoughts...
No late Friday flames... please...

(1) It is time to list and post the major paying sponsors of CNN, and forward to these sponsors a courteous, succinct and direct notice that their products are no longer welcome inour in our homes, vehicles and businesses. Such boycott to remain in effect as long as they choose to advertise on CNN or, promote CNN its known subsidiaries in any tangible manner.

(2) It is time for a regular weekly FREEEEEP of CNN headquarters in ATL-- Thursday or Friday evening... Saturday mornings... whenever the majority can make a lot of noise.

Your opinions/feedback more than welcome....

I saw CNN this afternoon when supposedly Sadr took over a town and all CNN would show was 3 cars burning and maybe 20 men with guns but kept claiming that the town was being over-run with 800 Sadr militiamen then later in the day the Iraqi Security Forces supposedly walked into the town and retook it without a shot being fired.

BS, there was NO news worthy reason for running that video. It conveyed NO information It was done purely for the shock value.

Think about it. The terrorists went and created that video for the whole purpose of propagandizing their viewpoint. So what do the total dopes at CNN do, they BROADCAST it!

So CNN has actively given out right propaganda aid and comfort to our enemies and encouraging them to REPEAT this video! Americans will die because of CNN's broadcasting of this tape. This broadcast gave aid to our foes, discourages our friends and helps enemy recruitment efforts.

Here is my comment to Mr Cooper at CNN to this sick and twisted bit of transparent Election Year propaganda.

http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/anderson.cooper.360/blog/2006/10/why-we-aired-sniper-video.html

Mr Cooper;

Once again CNN's hypocrisy and transparent propagandizing is shown. A few days after 09-11 all the "News" media stopped showing the the images of the attacks because their "grief counselors" told them they were "too traumatic".

CNN has never showed the images of American civilians leaping to their deaths or their bodies laying smashed and burning on the ground from 9-11.

The same standards apply here but with their usual hypocrisy CNN simply lies to the American people about their inexcusable action.

The self righteous rationalizing and pompous spin will NOT give CNN plausibly deniabilty on this transparent act of political propaganda. You have forever raised doubts about CNN Journalistic credibility and intellectual honesty by this transparent act of pro Terrorist propagandizing.

Until I see the day when a U.S. citizen is permitted to commit heinous acts of violence against CNN executives and employees without any fear of criminal prosecution, you will never convince me that this country is really at war.

"War on terror," my @ss.

I haven't watched CNN since the first Gulf War. I travel a lot and whenever I enter a lobby that has CNN Headline News on I always comment "CNN! Why on Earth is THAT station on, they're liars!"

Of all the MSM lib-bots, they are the worst. They apparently are happy sucking hind t!t on the ratings scale with FOX, they don't care about the money. I would surmise, though, that snuff films of THEIR reporters would go a long way to easing up on their obvious liberal slants.

I call the companies that advertise and always talk to the most senior person I can when I complain and are usually told that they always evaluate how their ad dollars are spent and most of them actually thank me.

Nice you have such strong feelings, unfortunately they are completely unconnected the facts about Iraq.

Turn OFF the Junk Media, listening to them on Iraq is like listening to Radio Berlin in 1943 to find out how World War 2 is going for the Allies.

It is pretty incredible watching how the US "News" Media IS continually trying to "Tet" the mission in Iraq. Tet, for those of you who do not know it. was a North Vietnam Offensive against South Vietnam during the January 1968 Tet Holiday . It was a bloody defeat for the North Vietnamese that shattered their Viet Cong guerrilla units. However, because of the reporting in the US "News" media, the public perception of the time was that Tet was an clear indication the USA had lost the war.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tet_Offensive

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1715700/posts

American casualties in Iraq rise sharply The Washington Post ^ | October 8 2006 | Ann Scott Tyson

This story from the Washington Post is a perfect example of how the Junk Media is trying to repeat the same scenario in Iraq. Due to petulant dislike for the President and a fanatical feverish need to re-establish the Democrat Party in power the US Media has simply pull out ALL the stops to lie, distort and mislead on Iraq. Statistically it is nonsense to draw any conclusion on a war based on a single month's data. April 1945 was the bloodiest single month of the World War 2 for the USA. 4 months later the war ended.

a 1 to 2 month blip in casualty figures is utterly irrelevant as an indicator of long term trends. It is also an incredibly misleading statements.

Here are the real figures which shows 180% opposite of the spin the Wash Poop is putting out. 2006 will see a marked decrease in the American killed and wounded in Iraq.

http://icasualties.org/oif/ Year US Deaths US Wounded

2003 486 2408

2004 848 7998

2005 846 5943

2006 567 4338

Total 2747 20687

Notice, the Washington Post suddenly wants to site casualty figures where before they always were measuring deaths. Of course they do that because the casualty increase sounds so dramatic and scary. It written that way to have the reader make negative assumptions about the war. It is also totally misleading and intellectually dishonest to not put the casualty figures in context. Given the nature of the operations ongoing at this point of the war the increase in casualties is a completely understandable and expected outcome. We are engaging in offensive operations in Urban terrain.

EVEN the Washington Post was forced to admit the last time we took casualties like this was when the Marines cleaned out Fallugha. There is the fact we are expanding operations to clean out the Shi'a militia. Adding them to the to do list, we are upping the tempo of our operations. The casualties, while terribly painful in individual human terms, are in terms of militarily conflict insignificant.

Unfortunately the Appeasement Now crowd on the political left, and sadly some Right Wing Neo Isolationists, are trying to use as PR props as they try to fashion a New Tet for Iraq. The Post contention in this "news" story is that the effort in Iraq is a disaster. That things are going from bad to worse and nothing we can do will change it.

The point of this story is to validate the spin from the Democrat Leadership that the US has no choice but to cut and run from Iraq. It complete nonsense.

Of course Casualties and attacks suddenly spiked. We are engaging in offensive operations in Urban terrain. Not only does more of the combat take place at brutally short ranges, but NOTHING in war generates minor casualties, sprains, broken bones, contusions etc like Urban Combat. Just too many hard surface for people to run into. However this sudden spike in casualties is not indicative, as the Post trys to imply, of INCREASING casualuties over all.

ONE casualty is emotional painful for dozens of fellow citizen but in the unforgiving mathmatics of war, this number is an insignificant blip on the screen. I think we can define the American Public as P.A.D.D. Policy Attention Deficit Disorder.

We are winning in Iraq. The Terrorists and Militia's have been unable to evolve beyond state 1 of Guerrilla War. Counter Insurgency is slow, painful work. But the progress is all on our side. The "Insurgents" has demonstrated no ability to politically or militarily evolve. Guerrilla war strategy consists of 3 phases.

1. Stage one: very small unit harassment actions.

2. Stage two: continuation of state one with an evolution to large units actions. Development of larger and large geographic areas fully under Guerrilla control.

3. Stage three: conventional warfare between large units. The Terrorists are still stuck in stage one of Guerrilla Warfare. They can wreck stuff and kill people they cannot grow. They cannot take and hold ground or engage in anything beyond small scale hit and run attacks. Their failure to develop a shadow political structure to act as a polar opposite to the Iraqi Government is their fatal flaw.

They simply lack the structure or local support network needed to move beyond state one Problem is thanks to the Junk Media and the Treason of the Democrat Party Leadership most Americans have no clue how well the mission is actually going. All they see is the thing that are seemingly going wrong.

They are not actually going wrong, that is actually how combat works. It is incredibly odd how Democrats, via their mouthpieces in the Junk Media, demand a level of perfection in Military operations that NO Journalist or Politician could ever live up to in their own professional spheres. Odd how Americans, who live with a very high level of incompetent in their government, their media, their day to day lives are so surprised and upset to discover war does work on a perfectly flawless time table.

They seem to think war should work like their two hour Hollywood action movies told them it did. 2 Hours, bad guys dead, sympathy frag of supporting actor, hero gets girl and lives happily ever after. These absurd expectations explain how it is Americans get "war weary" so very very rapidly. This PADD problem of the American people is one of the biggest Achilles heels of US Foreign Policy. Our foes count on us getting bored with it all and just going home. I guess we could call it the America's Policy Attention Deficit Disorder.

Counter Terrorism (or Counter Insurgency) is as much about politics as it is about war. Conventional Military often find them incredibly frustrating because they are usually a case of 3 steps forward, 2 steps back, pause, repeat. Conventional Military people think in terms of go there, kill them, wreck their stuff, make them stop pissing us off. Counter Insurgency does not work that way. Counter Insurgency works by making the local political structure strong enough to contain or beak the Insurgency. THAT is a slow painful process. It is made a lot hard in Iraq by the hyper negative Media coverage and excessive nonsense spewed out by Domestic Politicians using the war because they think it will help them politically.

I suspect that if we win Nov 7th, the Iraq mission is won. By 2009 the Iraqis political structure will be strong enough to stand on its own with minimal US support. Probably Iraq security forces stiffened with US SOF support teams. However, if the Democrats win November 7th, we can count on them "Teting" us right into another Vietnam style defeat. Iraq will be another war won militarily lost for perceived domestic partisan political advantage

I have turned away from their coverage. Liberal spouse always has this network on. One can always plead that in watching CNN, "someone has to do it".

The paradox is that CNN will always pay court to the "good" war which is WW2. They would not dare do any different. I know for a fact, since I remember that war, that kind of "news information, would have resulted in serious charges. Wolf Blitzer should be ashamed of himself. I still cling to the idea, that at one time, he at least tried a little objectivity. I believe that fifty percent of Coalition deaths in Iraq can be indirectly laid to the drive by media.

I caught Cafferty ranting on last night. Cafferty claimed the whole of the incumbents deserved to be thrown out. Sure, he is entitled to his opinion. Fact is that doing so would result in a Democratic majority. The man was actually snarling.

It took my breath away. I quietly used profanities and said spouse appeared not to hear. If ever one word described this type of delivery, I have it.

Demagoguery.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.

Vote the Republican Ticket.

Even if you have to hold your nose to do it. That will really piss off the CNN/ABC/NBC/CBS/et al. crowd.
