ALBANY, N.Y. -- With less than three weeks to Election Day, Rep. John Sweeney still leads his Democratic challenger by double-digits, but the size of that lead has shrunk, according to a new poll released Thursday.
Kirsten Gillibrand trails by 14 points in the poll conducted by the Siena College Research Institute. Sweeney, a four-term Republican GOP congressman, leads Gillibrand 53 percent to 39 percent among likely voters in the 20th congressional district, which stretches from the Albany suburbs north to Lake Placid.

I just wished that Rudy had decided to run for either Clinton's U.S. Senate seat or for Governor. Rudy truly had better chances of winning either of those races instead of deciding to run for President as a Republican in '08. Rudy is too liberal on all of the social issues to really have a serious chance in the President's race.
I agree
Rudy should have run for Governor and if he still wanted to run for Pres could have brandished some more conservative creds during his term as governor (if he had won of course).
