Ann Coulter will be speaking tonight at USF (University of South Florida), a quite liberal university. The following are some typical e-mails circulating on the campus e-mail system.
Socialism is CAUSED by a democracy.. A democracy is the disease, socialism is merely a symptom.. i.e. France, Germany, England, Canada.... and YES Russia and China..
Thats exactly WHY our founders gave us a republic.. The words democracy and democratic are found NOWHERE in the United States Constitution... This would seem strange to someone that don't know the difference between them(the words as most Don't)..
-----------------------------------------
Democracy is the road to socialism. Karl Marx
Democracy is indispensable to socialism. The goal of socialism is communism. V.I. Lenin
The meaning of peace is the absence of opposition to socialism.- Karl Marx
USF ping. :-)
They always do. They can't handle being opposed with common sense and the truth.
You caught that one too. -and from student engaged in higher education. rme.
Oh, boy. So hate speech he approves of is OK? (shaking head)
Clemson? Wow! I'm surprised at that.
Only on college campuses. At SUNY @ Stony Brook around 1987 (while I was a student ther), there was a dorm suite where all the residents were thrown off campus when a homosexual walking down the hall claimed that he heard someone inside the room (the door was closed) tell a joke about homosexuals, and he heard them laughing. He charged them with a "hate crime" and the college threw them out of campus housing.
Mark
They charge us with hate speech the same way they say we have homophobia. Even if it is true, why should it matter. We have much fear at what damage they could do to this country and we have much hatred at the damage they have already done.
Yep - and many of them vote twice. Once at home by absentee ballot and once in person in the college town.
Today is the 23rd and the thread was originally posted on the 19th.
My question: how does a 4/5 day old thread remain active and continues to receive posts? I know that if a thread is not closed that it can continue to receive posts, but why are people continuing to post in a thread which is long past the expected activity period?
Where does Ann actually live? Hopefully she has a CHL with reciprocity to Florida or a Florida nonresident one. Of course Ann has a major problem with where to conceal her handgun, maybe she could preposition it in the lectern?
Put it in pocketbook. They make pocketbooks designed especially FOR concealed carry - quick, concealed access to the pistol.
Or just wear 'em in the open, "Lara Croft" style...
In fact she should be photographed eating pork chops, and the picture posted on one of those "Jihadie" websites. Preferably she should be giving the "Hawaiian Good Luck Sign" as the photo is taken. :)
Though of that, but I've never seen a photo of her with a purse.
Or just wear 'em in the open, "Lara Croft" style...
She'd get arrested for "brandishing" or just for open carry, which is still illegal in many jurisdictions. Of in the long run, that might turn out to be a Good Thing.
Interestingly, concealed carry was originally banned because anyone who would hide the fact that they were armed was thought to be up to no good. Then they banned concealed carry because it upsets the sheeple, supposedly, even though bans on concealed carry were often upheld on the basis that the RKBA was not being denied as long as open carry was allowed.
Actually, one of the first bans on concealed carry was in NYC, and was done to protect the criminal constituents of NYC politician. One of these days, I get around to finding that document again...
Well, yes that was the real reason. But they couldn't actually say that.
Many southern states had bans on concealed carry even before what they call "The War of Northern Aggression". Many of the laws were actually enforced as "carrying while black, or brown) rather than against the white population. Georgia had a statue, overturned by their Supreme Court in 1846, which prohibited the mere sale of concealable concealable handguns, sword-canes, and daggers. The court's reasoning stands as a definitive defense of the right of the people to keep and bear arms.
The right of the whole people, old and young, men, women and boys, and not militia only, to keep and bear arms of every description, and not such merely as are used by the militia, shall not be infringed, curtailed, or broken in upon, in the smallest degree; and all of this for the important end to be attained: the rearing up and qualifying a well-regulated militia, so vitally necessary to the security of a free State. Our opinion is, that any law, State or Federal, is repugnant to the Constitution, and void, which contravenes this right, originally belonging to our forefathers, trampled under foot by Charles I. and his two wicked sons and successors, reestablished by the revolution of 1688, conveyed to this land of liberty by the colonists, and finally incorporated conspicuously in our own Magna Charta! And Lexington, Concord, Camden, River Raisin, Sandusky, and the laurel-crowned field of New Orleans, plead eloquently for this interpretation! Nunn v. State, 1 Kelly 243 (Ga. 1846)
Liberals are sooooooo Orwellian-- thought crimes -- it's hard to believe, but they believe in thought crimes...
