I've never been to Texas .. but was able to see how beautiful it is down there from all of Val's great pictures

I do have family living down that way .. maybe now that my kids are older they could handle the drive over that way

can't fly cause Mr.Mo1 has a fear of flying .. though don't tell him I said that :0)

I hope to soon .. there are so many states I want to go and see

The kids tend to get made at me because I won't take them to places like Disney world

Though I did bend and took them to Hersey Park .. they sold me on the chocolate part :0)

I prefer seeing the more beautiful sites our country has to offer and the history of it all

Which has come in handle in their history classes .. seems when asked by the teacher .. not many of the other kids have visited sites like DC, or Gettysburg .. or even many of the sites here in the Philly area

Come west. There is so much, historically, out here you might find yourself attracted to living here.

For one thing (Chamber of Commerce suit on): the commute times for your median white-collar job tends to be earlier than those on the Atlantic seaboard. Dress is blatantly more casual. Housing (dependent upon your chosen metro-area) appreciates rapidly, as new housing tends to be subtracted by excessive environmental regulations, both at the Fed and State level.

I have an old copy and I'll post his (famous) poem...... I Give You Texas:

The Devil we're told in hell was chained...a thousand years to there remain.....
He didn't grumble nor did he groan.....

anything left when HE made the land......
