With all of the threads on books and hit pieces attempting to 'split' the conservative base, such as David Kuo's new book claiming that President Bush makes fun of Christians, I felt it was important to put this into the context of the Democrat's political strategy.
This video is from New Politics, a DNC marketing group. This outlines how to quickly publish progressive political books (see, right before the election) and how to use viral market strategy to get the word out.

Specifically, focus on the areas regarding marketing and how these books can be used to influence the 'right' as much as the left.
The latest in viral marketing to create a hatchet piece for YouTube (or forwarded email) and just send it out and let friends sent it out, etc.
No "paid for by". Anonymously created campaign literature (and this sort of thing has happened for decades, sometimes using wheatpaste and sometimes fliers on cars and doors).
A few more instructional videos the dems use...

I was flipping through the channels and saw Wolfie talking to Ashcroft....the CNN ticker on the bottom said that the author of this book "suggests" evangelicals take a "two year fast" from politics. Wow...an evangelical that the Dems can actuallly like.
How convenient/ s
I'm impressed by how quickly politicos can slap down junk in a book. I wish I could write that fast.
I find it more interesting how quickly a nobody like this latest author can get national attention..
bttt
Two year fast.. I'm surprised he didn't just come out and say until after the November 2008 election. LOL!
I was listening to talk radio today and I'll tell ya.. evangelicals are hopping mad over this book. They are going to show up in droves at the polls! And, they are voting Republican!
That's what I've heard too.. that, along with Foley has caused a LOT on our side to be fired up- AGAINST THE POLITICAL TRICKS OF THE DEMS!
We are issue voters, NOT voters who follow some knee jerk feeling!
I had quite a discussion with the manager of B&N in our state capitol before the election 2004...(all the conservatives, like Coulter and Hannity, were on shelves BEHIND the check out desks - inaccessible except on request. The manager told me that they received their display instructions from national headquarters.)
They need a big case of conservative boycott whupa*s
Take heart. No one will remmeber the yapping mongrels who impotently snapped at giants.
It's like anything else. The more you do it, the better you get.
Thanks for the info, mnehrling!
Here's a "ping" for ya, Conservative Coulter Fan.
