Wis. prof compares Bush to Hitler
October 11, 2006
MILWAUKEE -- A University of Wisconsin instructor who has come under scrutiny for saying that the U.S. government orchestrated the Sept. 11 attacks compares President Bush to Adolf Hitler in an essay that his students are being required to buy.
The essay, ''Interpreting the Unspeakable: The Myth of 9/11,'' is part of a $20 book of essays, according to an unedited copy.
The book is on the syllabus for the twice-a-week course, Islam: Religion and Culture, being taught by part-time instructor Kevin Barrett.
Barrett is active in a group called Scholars for 9/11 Truth, whose members say U.S. officials, not al-Qaida terrorists, were behind the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
''Like Bush and the neocons, Hitler and the Nazis inaugurated their new era by destroying an architectural monument and blaming its destruction on their designated enemies,'' he wrote.
Barrett said he was comparing the attacks to the burning of the German parliament building, the Reichstag, in 1933.
My experience is that writing directly to such people accomplishes nothing but waste my time. I'd rather put pressure on the people who employed him.
"Your Wisconsin Tax Dollars At Work" Ping!
Yes we who are politically aware have seen and heard it. However, for 5 years, the lefty blogs and even Dem candidates have accused W and the entire GOP as Hitlarian. The MSM never reports on it unless it knocks the GOP and gets props from Clinton, Carter and other media faves. I would think the GOP would show the voters just how evil and smearing the Dems have become and done over these 5 years. Remember, most Americans still get their news from the Big 3 MSM outlets.
To repeat: All of the da loons ain't on da lake.
The thing is that the MSM even attacked Clinton for not being liberal enough for their tastes.
Conservative students who are in Keven Barrett's class will be on Bill Orelly tonight at 7 PM CDT, to talk about Barrett's "Class" on Islam and how he has bashed America within his classroom.
Excellent! Thanks for the Heads Up.
I'll catch the 10pm re-peat, as Thomas Sowell and I are headed to bed, anyway... ;)
