Fanning the Flames
Melanie Morgan's swing from liberal to right-
wing radio shouter may not have happened
overnight, but it's permanent -- and profitable

In the predawn darkness shortly after 5 a.m., Melanie Morgan begins her daily conservative talk show by mocking the news that this would be another Spare the Air Day in the Bay Area -- an ozone-heavy summer day when transportation officials ask commuters to avoid driving or other pollution-creating activities. To many Bay Area residents, a Spare the Air request is an apolitical fact of life.
Not to Morgan's listeners.
...
"Oh, you mean, Scare the Air Day?" Morgan roars in mock horror to her substitute co-host Officer Vic, who is neither a police officer nor named Vic. "Be scared of the air, everybody! Oh, come on. Get out your biggest SUV and drive it a lot. Fire up that leaf blower."
If you're kissing this off as the rantings of a couple of "hate radio" wingnuts, be advised that your family and friends may be listening. "The Lee Rodgers and Melanie Morgan Program" is the fourth-highest-rated morning show in the supposedly liberals-only San Francisco market. Has been for years; sometimes it's been higher.

How does mocking the enviro-kooks equate to "hate radio"?
Hot Talk 560 KSFO... Home of the Savage Nation originally...
So, who is on the afternoon drive slot since Savage is no longer on 560 AM?
It's now Sean Hannity.
"...Fire up that leaf blower."
LOLOL! I like her already, and have never heard of her. I gotta tune-in sometime.
MM ping...
Because anyone to the right of John Walker Lindh is evil in the eyes of the San Francisco Chronicle.
So, they have a Sean Hannity program that is not live radio... I hate that recorded programming...
Live radio is where it is at... with the flaming leftist KGO right across the hall it is a stupid marketing strategy... (The only thing KGO has that is any good is Dr. Bill Wattenberg...)
Savage was at his best when he was live and local... Lee and Melanie are good because they are live and local on KSFO... KGO has nothing but boredom during drive hour programming...
Bump for Melanie - keep giving 'em hell!
She is wearing jeans and a t-shirt, with some nice looking high heels.
Apparently you haven't seen any 16 year old sluts lately.
This was my view. I was glad to see that at least there was a cover story on a conservative in the most liberal metropolitan area in the nation.
I wasn't too crazy about the article itself in the way it was presented, but I think that's the whole point - the Chronicle would never write a sympathetic piece about a conservative, let alone a cover story.
Obviously they are perplexed how a conservative movement could be being waged right in their back yard, and they are disgusted by said fact. The displeasure Melanie must cause the reporters/editors at the Chronicle makes me smile, because I believe their statist, socialist, political correctness conformity (you can only say and believe what WE tell you), government-controlling, tax dollar-confiscating ways are E V I L.
Speaking of Bay Area talk, does anyone listen to Jerry Doyle. He's gone off his rocker this past week and a half with the constant attacks on Speaker Hastert. He, also is becoming unlistenable.IMHO
Mel is a long-time Freeper, too. She was at the Fresno lunch a few years ago that was covered on C-SPAN.
Are you talking about that photo above with Morgan wearing the white pants and green top?!! Or the one at the link with her wearing jeans? None of those photos look at all "sluttish." Maybe 16-year olds dress differently in your area than they do here.
I'm making it a point to find her and tune-in, b.
