My daughter and I voted Monday.
What you said.
I'm a woman, and not a violent woman either. Yet, I wanted to slap this little smart a$$ who was talking back to Sean on H&C. I can't believe the cool Sean showed. I wouldn't have been able to. What a little witch.
Man...someone needed a Nanny 911 when SHE was a child. Now, I'm afraid it's too late. Wooooooooo, what a piece of work!
And yet we send our kids to these schools. We should not blame the kids we sent them there ( at a bazillion bucks a semester). We will reap what we (so expensively) sow.
They claimed that they gave them 45 minutes!
If these two were Conservatives, they would already have been expelled by the Columbia.
The one next to Sean wouldn't stop talking. She didn't let the truth, or facts, get in the way of a good argument!
Didn't catch it. What did Hannity end up saying to the twerp?
I agree. She sure has her comeupance coming, maybe when she has to get a job.
He kept asking them why, if they believed in free speech, did they have to storm the stage and stop the speakers from talking. Sean was very good about this. Then, the little witch kept doing her little giggle laugh like Sean was an idiot, and kept trying to get him to let her talk about why they felt the Minutemen were racist. Sean said, we'll get to that, but first.....
My husband was an original Minuteman in AZ. We don't even live in AZ. Hubby is a retired cop. The Minutemen are no more than a neighborhood watch! They are Patriots, and were doing the work our Senators wouldn't do---to quote a phrase ;-)
A typical leftist device -- I suppose it makes them feel superior, but they are quite unaware of how creepy it makes them appear.
Here's hoping she keeps listing the attack in her resume.
NY Times is so bloody transparent. If the protest was against a pro-abortion speaker they sure wouldn't be commenting on the 'strong feelings' around the issue, but the violence, the attack on free speech, the inability to consider opposing views, blah, blah, blah. A violent protest against a conservative group, oh, that is excusable because people do, and should, have strong feelings about the issue.
Yes, Columbia is not a liberal (in the best meaning of that word) institution but one that's become captive of a far Left coalition of screwballs.
For another example, "Commentary" had an issue in '05 titled "Columbia and the Intifada" by Efraim Karsh. It describes the institutional anti-Semitism that's thriving there.
It's been often documented how some of the faculty and their indoctrinated student followers are denigrating Israel and even openly advocating its destruction. They're using the classroom as their forum for promoting a personal political agenda.
The NYTimes is very aware of that fact. It is standard operating procedure to label opposition to illegal immigration (or mass immigration in general) as being 'anti-immigration', or 'anti-immigrant'.
That the media has a leftwing bias is beyond dispute, and I think they may be the most hopelessly biased on immigration.
The basic point made by many of these punks is that 'racists' and their 'racist' speech are unworthy of free speech rights. And conveniently for them of course, they are the arbiters of what constitutes racist speech.
Republicans really should try to find a way to use this in campaigns. It is effective -- and true -- to point out how the Democrats represent the far-left values of Hollywood, so why not do the same with radical campus leftists (and future Democratic party leaders)? I'll take our boogeymen over theirs any day.
I heard them call them vigilantes on Fox this afternoon.
susie
A prime example of facism.
Actually, you're wrong this time. Bolinger, the President of Columbia, has sent a very strong letter to the student body about this incident stating the offenders will be prosecuted and that the university stands by free speech for all. This is a lot different than the 60's when the presidents of universities hid in their offices.
How condescending of the author of this article to phrase it like that, but for the record, the article was published in the New York Times, a purported newspaper run by a self-appointed band of traitors that have focused mostly on giving aid and comfort to America's enemies...
