Washington -- Ohio GOP congressman Bob Ney regularly claims that watchdog groups who highlight his ties to criminal lobbyist Jack Abramoff are part of a conspiracy against him that is bankrolled by liberal financier George Soros.

Ney's gripes actually helped one of those groups land funding from Soros this January, its executive director believes.

"For the longest time, we got no money from George Soros," says Melanie Sloan of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. "We now get money from The Open Society Institute, and it is probably thanks to Bob Ney."

Wasn't it just last week when Soros claimed that he was geeting away from politics. Guess I was right in calling it BS.

Google up Open Society Institute and hold on to your seat. They are basically a shadow government for their agendas that run counter to representative government and the idea of sovereign nations.

Soros is extremely dangerous to the freedom of all Americans, IMHO.

IMO Soros is a disgraceful, malicious, self-hating leftwing Jew. I've never believed the stories about Jews who collaborated with the Nazis, but had Soros been around then, no doubt he would have leaped at the chance to do so.

I was amazed how much Cavuto seemed to defend Soros last night on O'Reilly. O'Reilly was great.

Perhaps Soros is the AntiChrist and used his demonic powers on Cavuto?

Center for Ethics and Responsibility in Washington

www.citizensforethics.org

From http://www.citizensforethics.org/about/index.php
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington targets government officials who sacrifice the common good to special interests. We will help Americans use litigation to shine a light on those who betray the public trust:
If a public official misuses his position to demand campaign contributions, CREW will find creative ways to seek civil remedies.
If a witness is threatened or punished because she reported official misconduct, CREW will fight back on behalf of the witness — including representing that individual in court if necessary.
If a government agency withholds information to which the public is entitled, CREW will go to court to enforce legal rules regarding disclosure.
If a group libels an honest public servant, CREW will help the victim defend his reputation.
CREW will seize opportunities like these, bringing high-impact legal actions. The majority of our cases will focus on real people and their stories about the lack of government integrity. Not only do these people need and deserve our support, their stories can serve as powerful tools to seize public attention and move public opinion. CREW will work with the press, government investigators, and other public interest groups to make sure that these peoples' stories are heard. In the process, CREW will build a non-partisan investigative alliance that transcends specific issues. Our aim is to encourage officials to be open about their values and to act based upon their honest and best assessment of the public interest.
As we do this, over time CREW will develop a network of public interest groups, sympathetic government investigators and media contacts — a broader, more mainstream version of the conservative coalition that was so effective in the 90's. We will work with that network to focus public attention on government integrity and to educate the public about dishonest or disingenuous government officials. If the past decade is any indication, this network can have a substantial impact on public opinion.

ACTIVITIES

A veritable dream list of leftist antics is here:

From Katrina to Valerie Plame, these folks don’t seem terribly interested in exposing the truth…..but rather creating the spin and the environment with a “fair” sounding organization driving it.

FOIA Requests

By far, one of the more formalized partisan activities for an organization…an entire department dedicated to FOIA requests:

LEGAL ACTIONS

Pretty partisan legal actions…for a bipartisan non-profit:

You should see Bill O'Reilly's book, Culture Warrior. He talks alot about the OSI, and Soros, George Lakoff, and many others. I don't know why more people aren't aware of stuff like the Renaissance Society, to which the Clintons belong, which has the SAME AGENDA......forced redistribution of wealth - that is, everyone's wealth but their own. If ya got money, you better get it into offshore acocunts.......or risk losing all.....

March 2006:

Republican Party officials say that CREW’s activities violate regulations for tax-exempt organizations and that they are weighing filing a complaint with the IRS.

The Hill

The Pubbies need to report them now, this little stunt is a fine example of blatent partisanship by a 501(c)3 tax-exempt group.

Does this mean that CREW,and thr orgs you have listed will be on the Hillary Clinton case, demanding justice, or that of any democrat, not likely.

Clinton campaign fraud?
The last time Hillary Clinton campaigned for the Senate in New York, she violated campaign finance laws by failing to report almost $2 million in contributions from former JW client Peter Paul leading to the federal indictment of her National Finance Chairman, David Rosen. To this day, she refuses to correct the record.

One only has to watch the tagrets of this called, watch group.

We have to combat the entire list of orgs that have been posted in the original body and that posted by (conservativegadfly).

Thanks for the scorecard gadfly.

This is yet another reason why the Dims must be defeated in November. If they recapture the House and/or the Senate, Soros will view it as a major victory for CREW and for all other similar groups, and he and his far left billionaire buddies (like Lewis at Progressive Insurance, the Google people, etc.) will throw virtually unlimited resources at them.

ALL of us who donate money and time to the GOP, go to church, own guns, try to raise our kids with decent values, and read and post on FR and other conservative sites, will be at risk of being "Foleyed", having our lives, careers and families destroyed by rumor and innuendo campaigns. And if they can't find any real dirt on us, they'll just make it up.

And the media will smirkingly print every bit of mud they dredge up on us, protecting their sources so we can't confront them, with no attempt made to even verify if any of it is true.
