Maybe, but I doubt it.

First off, Dick Morris is always wrong. Period. Secondly, for Dick to be correct, voters like me have to decide to pull the lever for a Democrat. This whole affair was a setup designed to depress Republican turnout, ala the DUI charge in late October 2000. We won't get fooled again.

We're saved! I can't recall an election Dick has ever called right. In '04 he said Bush would cream Kerry in debates and this would be a big boost to his reelection. Then when Kerry ended up "winning" the first, and possibly all 3, debates, Morris said Kerry would win the election.

His '06 prediction though sounds like the mirror image of his take on the '98 election. Said GOP voters were so disgusted with Clinton they would turn out in huge numbers. With a straight face he actually predicted they would get to 60 seats in the Senate, and gain dozens of House seats. He could not have been more wrong and it sounds like he's done it again.

Yesterday on Sean's show he said Foley was going to be topic of conversation in every home in America. I have not heard one person mention this unless I bring it up first. I honestly think most Americans do not care and will not let this affect their vote.

If the Democrats can mutter threats about FCC licenses when ABC broadcasts Path to 911, what about the scandal of actually holding back information putatively bearing on the safety of minors for a year (that we know of) and dumping it in 2006 as an October Surprise!

The FCC has some 'splainin' to do! I say they should be sued, and required to explain any rational reason why censorship/licensing of radio transmissions is legitimate under the First Amendment. The First Amendment says that the government can't require The New York Times to be objective - and then the FCC licensees turn around and claim that they are objective because "everyone knows" The New York Times is objective, and they mirror The New York Times.

Why Broadcast Journalism is
Unnecessary and Illegitimate
