Remember Mel Rynolds, Democrat from Illinois? He wasn't simply emailing 16-year-olds: he was having sex with them.
And Democratic hero Bill Clinton pardoned him in Clinton's corrupt last minute pardon. And there was NO outrage by Democrats. Yet Democrats want to put Foley in jail because of emails and instant messages?
Doesn't this prove my point that liberalscum don't care about the accusation or actions, all they care about is if someone is a Democrat or a Republican. They don't want to jail Foley because of his Internet activity, they want to jail Foley because he is a Republican and disagrees with their politics.
And the liberal media never blamed the whole Democratic party.
Don't you think there's a big difference between a guy that wants to have sex with 16yo girls, and a guy that wants sex with 16yo boys.
So you are saying that excuses the media's behavior?
Rynolds had sex with 16-year old girls. That is far worse.
It's Mel Reynolds not Mel Rynolds. And yes he had spent 30 months in prison for having sex with a 16 year old campaign worker, and was in jail again for diverting campaign funds into his personal account. I can see why Clinton pardoned him, two peas in a pod.
"Don't you think there's a big difference between a guy that wants to have sex with 16yo girls..."
The point here is that Rynolds is a democrat and Foley is a republican. THAT IS IT! What about Barney Frank's boyfriend running a brothel out of Fraanks house?? He is still there. It is dem vs. repub, plain and simple.
"Moral equivalency" with democrats only brings Republicans down to their level. No thanks.
Yes, I think that actually having sex with 16 year old girls is worse than sending IMs to 16 year old boys! Only in the world that liberals inhabit are thoughts worse than deeds.
HELL, remember, Barney Franks, Studs, and they are still in congress, Look, not trying to make this ok with Foley, just trying to point out the difference in the MSM.
There will always be a double-standard when it comes to reporting between Dems and Repubs. What Foley did was disgusting and he should have his @ss handed to him. I think it is important to take the high road and condemn Foley rather than compare his behavior to democrat scandals. I'd rather be on the side of the party that cleans house instead of arguing about whether Foley's behavior was AS BAD as other democrats. Anyway, at least Foley had the decency to resign immediately. Frankly, he should have never been in office in the first place and now his behavior will cost the GOP.
OH and don't forget Slick pardoned him Reynolds
Exactly what I was trying to say in my post. Agree!
It is quite clear now that this congressman is guilty of a giant hoax on the voters. He campaigned as a Republican, but deep down he was really a Democrat, thus wanting to have sex with an underage boy.
Will not cost the GOP, people realize that the individual does this kind of stuff, just a blimp on the radar screen
I think it is important to do both.
Clear out the scum.
Take the opportunity to point out the Dem's hypocrisy.
To liberals, it is not thoughts and deeds, it is about liberals jailing Republicans and pardoning Democrats. It is about the liberal media blaming the whole Republican party for the emails of one man, and not blaming the Democratic party even after Clinton pardons a pedophile and Jesse Jackass hires him as a youth counselor.
I agree about the house cleaning, and I applaud the leadership for doing it. But the Democrats are trying to make political hay out of this and with an election coming up it must be answered with something. They are trying to paint as many Republicans as they can as complicit in this fiasco. One way to shut them up and neuter their argument is to shine a light on how hypocritical they really are.
Don't you think there's a big difference between a guy who HAS A SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP with underage girls and a guy who sends sexually explicit text messages to 16 y/o boys?
If he were a Democrat this story would be buried and the whole party wouldn't be blamed in the MSM.
