West Virginia has done really well with Byrd's pork barrel money. He's got more stuff named after him there than Saddam did in Iraq.
The notion that WV has done really well with Byrd's pork barrel money is a somewhat superficial notion. Very little of the money has gone into things that are self-stainable. In short "riches" have come into the state but it has created almost no real wealth. When the pork stops flowing into the state many of these Byrd funded projects will decay & die.
Well, good for him...can we send him some of our "Cali-Mexi" gangbanger spraypaint 'artists' to add their touch to all those "Robert Sheets Byrd Memorial - (fill in the blank)" plaques?
