I don't understand: if they want to live under their laws and not have to deal with our ways, why do they come here??

Gee, a lot of the Muslim delegates to the UN don't seem to have a problem being in close proximity to alcohol...

I guess it gets back to CAIR's statement about having islam take over. They'll do it using our own laws to protect our religious freedom against us. (with the help of the ACLU no doubt)

Does the cabby ask the passenger a set of questions?
Do you have alcohol in any of your bags?
Did you pack your bags yourself?
Were your bags in your possession at all times?
And does the cabby have the right to search bags, and if so, does he choose who to search by some method of random assignment, or do some cabbies actually profile those most likely to be carrying alcohol?

Whoa. Hold up on this a moment.
Pharmacists can be fired from their jobs for upholding their religious beliefs regarding dispensing RU486 or the dayafter pills, and contraceptives.
Doctors can be fired or in some medical schools dismissed because they refuse to provide or learn about abortion technique.
There are many examples of religious views in the public sphere being overriden. If these Muslims want to enforce their religious beliefs in the public sphere, why are they being accommodated?
Why aren't their licenses pulled for discrimination while Christian believers are fired for the exact same thing?

I'm with the Muslims on this one. If they, for religious reasons, do not want to preform a service, fine. The other cabs, who will take people who have alcohol, will get the business of those people carrying alcohol. The colored lights will differentiate between the cabs that will carry those with alcohol and those that won't.
I see this as analogous to the pharmacist who, for religious reasons, will not fill a prescription for a morning after pill. The ones I have read about have a sign in the pharmacy saying they will not fill such prescription, people wishing to have a morning after pill filled can go to another pharmacy.

Does not pass the smell test. Who buys booze in an airport? I understand the duty free shops, but that would need to be in your checked baggage, wouldn't it?

What a great idea...then you know which cabs are driven by muslims. I would feel safer in a non-muslim cab.
To: Pharmboy
This is ridiculous. How about people carrying guns, or porno? How about people who are child molesters, rapists, un-apprehended murderers? How about (gasp!) tobacco smokers? How about my great aunt who was a Nun who came from Ireland carrying about two tons of Irish bacon?
If there is nothing overtly wrong with the customer the cab diver must carry them! Remind these cranky Somalis they too can be replaced by happy, hard working Mexicans.

Since much of the gasoline sold today contains ethanol (10% to 85%), every one of those cabs is "carrying" huge quantities of alcohol. Perhaps the muslim cabbies should stick to driving camels.
