A tragic number of decisions in the late 60's and early 70's ensured our current status as LEO visitors.

I like NASA's use of robotic probes for deep space exploration. We are still taking baby steps I realize, and many are anxious for man to step foot again on some exotic and harsh environments.

But this approach of sending instruments in our place lessens the angst associated with manned exploration. Besides, the great time involved in reaching these distant planets and their moons gives us time to reflect over previous manned missions and realize,"WHAT THE HELL WERE WE THINKING! IT'S FREAKING FREEZING AND BOILING AND THERE'S NO AIR! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE. AAHHHGGGG!
