" Assisting in the raids were agents from the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the Terrebonne Narcotics Task Force. A customs spokesman said that because his agency was only assisting the FBI, he could not answer any questions about the operation. Likewise, the local narcotics agents also said they had only been asked to assist and were not given any information about the operation. "

Interesting mix of agencies involved... (things that make you go 'hmmmmm'?)

Anybody besides me not buying that "we don't know what we're doing here - we're just helping out" line??

I wish they'd come and raid the 2 A-Rabid convenience stores in the small town by where I live. There is a boss raghead who drives a Mercedes that "visits" them regularily. They speak spanish and try to make people believe they are mexicans, but I know Arabic when I hear it because I got stuck rooming with one for a short time in the college dorm. I also noticed Arabic writing on the side of one cash register.

Good idea. I did an experiment and NO MATTER HOW NICE AND PLEASANT I AM to these Arabs posing as Hispanics, they hardly even look at me and when they do look at me, they look at me like they would love to slit my throat.

That has been my experience with the one's that I know... except for one guy that has tried to talk to me about his satan-worshipping religion. We no longer talk, and he avoids me like the plague... just the way I like it!

I did talk to a cop I know about these guys and he said there was no need to worry because they are only Palestinians! I honestly believe that if all radical islamic cells moved at the same time on the same day blowing up car bombs and taking hostages that this country would again be crippled and caught with it's pants down for days!

Simple thing is, if they didn't have anything to hide, why are they crying? If they are so innocent, why don't they help out the athorities in what they are looking for instead of crying about it.

Thanks for the thread, chemicalman, and everyone should read all of the comments at the link provided by A. Morgan to jihadwatch.

Almost every gas/convenience store in New Orleans has become Arab-owned in just the last few years - virtually overnight. I try to not give them my money, but sometimes it's impossible as I'm too far from a station that isn't Arab-owned. There needs to be a manual made directing citizens on how to spot illegal behavior at these stores. Hugh in the jihadwatch comments talks about reporting stores that don't give receipts. Is there a way for a citizen to spot counterfeit cigarettes? Does the store not sell alcohol (maybe the owners aren't as radical, not a certainty, though)? Does the store sell illegal knock-off brand stuff? Drug paraphanalia, like in the Houma case? Try to catch the name on those donation tin cans they have next to the register, and look up the charity when you go home on the internet. Look for any other violations the store may be making as that may open up the door for investigators to look further. The gas station at Elysian Fields/Gentilly in N.O. doesn't have their prices on the big board - I'm going to report them. I'd imagine that may be illegal under state law.

One other thing - if you have a Jewish last name, don't dare use a credit card at one of these stores. I would imagine that you're a prime candidate for them to give your info to a comrade who's into identity theft. I don't have any evidence of this, but, it seems like a logical preventative action to take.

Any other ideas on what we can do to keep an eye on these stores for illegal activity?

I guess we are all supposed to feel sorry for them because they are muslims. Sorry, that dog won't hunt. I am tired of all their whining, give them an inch and they take a mile.

Find Muslim stores in your area to keep a watch on.
