That seems what's gonna' happen now... but it's still so far, far away from Nov. 2008. If McCain runs as an Independent... all bets are off. A mini example of that is happening right here in the socialist dutchy of MA... a weak Republican candidate facing off with a half-way sane Independent and a black-socialist Dhimmicrat.
I'm sending out resumes like crazy... cause if this rat-hole of a state gets a Dhimmi Governor... AIEEEEEE!
good luck. ;)
... While America appears not to be ready for a female president under any circumstances, the post-9/11 realities pose special problems for a female presidential candidate. Add to these the problems unique to missus clinton. The reviews make the mistake of focusing on the problems of the generic female presidential candidate running during ordinary times. These are not ordinary times. America is waging the global War on Terror; the uncharted territory of asymmetric netherworlds is the battlefield; the enemy is brutal, subhuman; the threat of global conflagration is real. Defeating the enemy isn't sufficient. For America to prevail, she must also defeat a retrograde, misogynous mindset. To successfully prosecute the War on Terror, it is essential that the collective patriarchal islamic culture perceives America as politically and militarily strong. Condi Rice excepted, this requirement presents an insurmountable hurdle for any female presidential candidate, and especially missus clinton, historically antimilitary--(an image, incidentally, that is only enhanced today by her clumsy, termagant parody of Thatcher), forever the pitiful victim, and, according to Dick Morris, "the biggest dove in the clinton administration." It is ironic that had the clintons not failed utterly to fight terrorism... not failed to take bin Laden from Sudan... not failed repeatedly to decapitate a nascent, still stoppable al Qaeda... the generic female president as a construct would still be viable... missus clinton's obstacles would be limited largely to standard-issue clintonisms: corruption, abuse, malpractice, malfeasance, megalomania, rape and treason... and, in spite of Juanita Broaddrick, or perhaps because of her, Rod Lurie would be reduced to perversely hawking the "First Gentleman" instead of the "Commander-in-Chief." Bill Clinton could be caught on the capitol steps screwing a corpse he had just strangled, while Hitlery filmed it, and it wouldn't hurt either of them, in fact their media image would be enhanced.
For some reason those two are untouchable.
As soon as the interview was over I KNEW Hillary was going to have to do "damage control". This hurt her chances more than anything else. Alot of Lib friends say they wouldn't want to hear about what the "First Husband" was up to.

Raffiniert ist Gott, aber boshaft ist er nicht.
:)
One thing that sticks in my mind is the Madeline Albright citation, where she indicates that Clinton's eyes were fixated on the Nobel Peace Prize and he adjusted/retarded his anti-terrorist activities in hopes of garnering the prize.
This is supported by the fact that he hired a lobbying firm to actively press the Nobel Committee for the award.
How far I have fallen that instead of being rendered slack jawed with disbelief, I only say "well, that makes perfect sense when describing the Clintons." I never thought to become so very jaded by their depredations but I guess their constant outrages coarsens us all.

It's about 68 degrees under a clear sky here. Will probably get up to 88 tomorrow. We had a small front move through today. 88 isn't so bad when there's low humidity, and a sunny sky.

thank you. :)
Well said.
I think it is fair to say no one in modern history has done more harm to the country... to the collective psyche... to the children... than the clintons.
