(AP) Washington, DC 09-27-2006 [revised, witness added]
George Allen's pediatrician says he heard the then-toddler Allen utter the "N word" in an 1956 office visit when an African-American nurse administered a tetanus shot. Dr. Peter Moore, 97, said he clearly heard Allen say the epithet and wrote it in his notes in case Allen would someday run for office.
Earlier claims that the young Allen was asking for his "Tigger" doll for comfort have been refuted by testimony from other toddlers who were there at the time. Joan Madsen, now a staffer to Sen, Barbara Boxer (D-CA), "swears" that she heard Allen, then 4 years old, utter the "disgusting and hurtful slur" from an adjoining room.
The embattled Allen Campaign could not be reached for comment, but political expert Larry Sabato of the University of Virginia said it is unlikely Allen would be able to recover from this new allegation.
LOL....GREAT!!
The sad thing is, I had to read it twice before I figured it was satire.
LOL! It's actually almost this bad, though.
Laugh outloud good.
I really think this should have "Humor" added to the title.
Funny stuff.
What bullsheite.
The old man, 97 years old now, clearly remembers what some kid said in 1957, and wrote it in his notes just so he could use it in case he ever ran for office? Again, what Bullsheite. I suggest that it wasnt an issue in 1957, and that there would have been no reason to make a note of it nor to expect the kid to run for office. If that is the case, someone should obtain the good doctors records and read them for the conspriracy theories that he penned. It could be the basis for a really funny book.
They are really scraping the bottom of the barrel to try to get some dirt - any dirt - on Allen. Ohhhh. He said the N-word in college! Yeah, that's it. Unfit for office.
Also..this man has run for office at least 3 other times, including the Governor of Virginia..and the Senate seat he has now...and this NEVER came up.
THAT is a little odd, don't you think?
I think I remember that guy running against Allen in the election using the "N" word in a private meeting at some event somewhere. I think the guy also used anti-Semitic language. I think he also used "wasp" around a flower bed a few times and other derogatory ethnic terms.
Will the N.Y. Times interview me?
This is a parody. If you click the link, it just takes you back to FR.
BWAHAHAAAA!!!
*Very funny ping*
Now that I got my blood pressure up -- I see that. It was close enough to the liberal mindset that it is believable though.
He was at the doctor because he got bit by a chigger.
***********
Good point. It's a compliment to the author.
LOL! I'm surprised someone hasn't made these accusations, yet.
