Routine betrayal of our country's secrets: the new CIA report - Sunday, September 24, 2006 7:01 PM

The betrayal of our country's secrets has become so routine that even the FoxNewsChannel doesn't notice them -- or at least Chris Wallace and the team failed to notice them on Sunday's weekly report. And of course none of the anti-war radicals in the Democratic Party or to the left of the Democratic Party who claim to be concerned about the Constitution so that they can make life easier for our terrorist enemies have shown the slightest concern that rogue professionals in our intelligence agencies with the help of the rogues at the New York Times want to conduct political campaigns with the nation's secrets.

According to a front page story in Sunday's Times, dozens of intelligence officials talked out of school to a New York Times reporter about national secrets with the obvious (though unreported) intention of undermining the Bush Administration's foreign policy on Iraq. According to them an intelligence report is claiming that Bush's policies are increasing terrorism rather than defeating it. Of course, we don't even know what the intelligence report claims because it's still classified. All we know is what these rogue elements are claiming -- and it is their claims that are reported as "news" in the lead feature of today's Times.

The claim that George Bush creates the terrorists is a convenient idea for the appeasement crowd that is trying to unseat Republicans in the fall elections so that Nancy Pelosi and John Conyers can control the House and spend the next two years sabotaging America's war effort through endless investigations and impeachment hearings. This is the Fifth Column's master plan and there is unquestionable an element of the intelligence community that wants to help them. Senator John Kerry who has already betrayed us in one war has already jumped on this story to lead the pack. The real question is whether we are going to allow our constitutional system to be dismantled by its enemies at the New York Times and in the Democratic Party and in the political left generally, and are we going let them undermine our war against the terrorists in the process?

Another case of government clerks leaking classified material to the NYT. Why don't we hang traitors anymore?

We talking about the New York Times again? Rotten SOBs, I'll never forgive them and will sing and happily dance when that paper goes down. Or are we talking about the revolt at the CIA that needs to be put down? Or are we talking about the dysfunction at the FBI that needs to rebuilt from the ground up? Or the Democrat party that wishes the US ill so we'll recognize our foulst and plead mea culpa? Or is it the MSM that is the fifth column in this war on terror? Geez, with odds like these, it's a frickin' wonder we've done as well as we have and it's primarily due to the fact that we have a President with nerves of steel and some citizens who can't be railroaded!

I wish there were more people like Horowitz. He gets it. I can't get over how all the media (yes, Fox too) is luxuriating in this "report." No one questions it, and no one questions how it was "leaked" or why. Remember the 'Rat complaint of "suspicious timing"--why aren't we hearing anyone say that for this?

Thanks for the post. I also noticed that the reporters today have said "classifed report" as if there was nothing unusual in having that information on their tele-prompter.

Ditto the Arizona Republic, nee Arizona Republican.

A kid came to my door to give me the Republic free five days a week. If I paid for the weekend, the money would help scholarships, I was told.

I responded, "I wouldn't wipe my butt with that paper." I got him laughing out loud. I did not offer to pay for anything.

If there were a declaration of war it would be a different story, but there isn't so it isn't.

Care to suggest an alternative, Dave?

Patriots, or at least those who really care for the country, would keep secrets. Guess you know what I think of the leakers and their MSM partners.

Nancy Pelosi was happy to use this little tidbit yesterday. Evidently the fact that it is clasified , never slowed her down a bit. between the Media and the democrats the Islamics have the best spy system in the world.

Fighting back has upset the Jihadists causing their ranks to swell…hmmm

That is the essential point being made in this New York Times piece about a bit of intelligence we have to depend on them to interpret. Not that I am skeptical of their interpretation or anything after all they have gotten so much right in the past . But isn’t it at least passingly strange that the observation that fighting back makes more terrorists has been one of the Anti War Left’s main talking points since about 5 minutes after the North Tower collapsed. (Due no doubt to the explosives the Bush administration had planted according to a much larger portion of that same Anti War Left group than anyone feels comfortable admitting to.)

Read the rest if it pleases you...

Fire all the clinton hold-overs at the CIA and replace them with patriotic conservatives.

"... rogue professionals in our intelligence agencies with the help of the rogues at the New York Times want to conduct

This is reprehensible! Why hasn't the NY Times been slammed shut? Why have our intelligence agencies not been cleaned out of the traitors.

If we don't do it, a celestial cleansing will.

The real question is whether we are going to allow our constitutional system to be dismantled by its enemies at the New York Times and in the Democratic Party and in the political left generally,

Yes. We are. It's been going on since the 1960s and shows no sign of stopping. The President to even try to hold the Times accountable was Nixon, and we all know how that ended.

and are we going let them undermine our war against the terrorists in the process?

Well voting to hold R's in power in the Nov. electoins will allow us to continue the WOT.

Watch what happens - this biased report will get front page news by every MSM outlet but Clintons outburst with Mike Wallace about his failings that he refuses to take responsibility for will go unnoticed. Anyone care to place bets?

Well, as we pointed out before, since the Times has never been punished for its previous treasonous crimes, why should they hesitate to do it again?

Some of these leaks have been critically damaging to our country, but the administration hasn't done a damn thing.

And how about Sandy Berger? Why should he get away with stealing documents and get no more than a wrist slap and a get-out-of-jail-free card?
