You're going to love this from the Clinton on FNC thread by ark_girl. The last paragraph is priceless.
Which legacy? The economy that was built on overpriced tech stocks and corperate fraud? Peace with Korea and China that was based on them lying to us and us giving away the family farm? Or that enduring peace in the Middle East that ended with the guy who was the focus of it, Yasser Arafat, dying holed up in a house surrounded by ticked off Israelis?
Seriously, I went to the Clinton Library this summer (just because it seemed silly to live as close as I do and not go look, if nothing else, out of morbid curiosity).
It was very difficult to find anything that he claimed he did that has stood the test of time.
Ronald Regan did stuff and it took. He took out the USSR and they're just now kind of hinting at going back to their old ways, 20 years later. Clinton build a wonderful economy and world peace that was so enduring, they collapsed before he was even out of office.
To: Howlin
FNC (in the 2pm hour) is still discussing this. Apparently the YouTube(?) video has been a big hit, with nearly 1M watches! LOL
The host is Jamie Colby(?) and their are discussing that Clinton is saying he is the victim of the right wing conspiracy (HAHA). Jamie's guest Byron York is on talking about how Slick's defensiveness is all based on Clarke's book. But...you need to read the book. And that Slick wanted to get OBL, but he didn't have the will to do it. All slick does is blame the FBI and CIA. Its just like the line from the Path to 9/11 "the buck stops down the hall".

Ironic really that Mr. and Mrs. Rodham Clinton, two clearly hostile, angry and volitile personalities so desperately crave attention for their "peace efforts?"
To: Howlin
I tried to find it, but it was not on my local station. I read about it somewhere, and it sounded like Fat Dim was giving verbal BJ's to the big BJ himself. No surprises. What we saw on FNS was the REAL Clinton and I would bet that Dick MOrris would have some good comments on his performance.

A couple of observations as I watched FOX this morning:
Dilated pupils--all to familiar.
Socks too short--bare skin showing.

"Clinton says he would figure out what the generally accepted conditions of the Geneva Conventions are and I would honor them." Of course he fails to mention that is exactly what President Bush has just done. Clinton says that "water boarding was sought in this legislation" when in fact it was specifically being ruled out as the initial legislation put forth by the President was the exact wording of John McCain from a year ago. This is disinformation that many are spreading. He says we could have "spent 300 billion in Afghanistan to secure a moderate, pro-western government that could have keep the Taliban from coming back across the border..." Last time I looked Karzi headed a pro-western moderate government and since $300 billion can't keep terrorists from coming across the desert borders of Iraq, how in the hell would one expect it to keep the extremists from the most unruly (Kashmir) land on the planet from coming across some of the highest and most rugged mountains on the globe? It is totally irresponsible to state what that money would have produced like there is some kind of magic formula. Next he says we could have spent that money in homeland security which is one of my pet peeves... Essentially he's saying that he could have spent another 300 billion dollars and achieved the exact same results as President Bush. Zero, nada, none, no, zip attacks on American soil in 5 years is hard to beat regardless of how much you spend. Russert hasn't asked a tough question yet. He's just letting Clinton ramble on and say what he likes without questioning any of his thinking. I'm not sure why Tim doesn't just pull out his knee pads and finish the job.

I don't think they ever are, he's part of the VWRC, don't ya know ;-)
I don't think he his (but I'm sure they do). I think he's a very good and thoughtful writer and investigative reporter.

Jamie also said, that this interview is so popular that they will not only reair at 6pm on FNC, but also at 10pm. HA! Poor Billy Boy.

I still have had a chance to see the whole thing. But from reading the posts and seeing the clips, this is what it looks like to me.
This interview is what we "expected" to see in the famous deposition tape. Only this time he absolutely loses it over his own failings that had deadly consequences.
To: kabar
Mara even jumped on the 8 years vs 8 months, but she used it to explain away why Clinton had more failures than Bush. What a tool!

FNC's ratings must be going through the roof this weekend. Looks like Mr. Potato Head (a.k.a. Buffalo Butt Timmy (don't remember which FReeper named him that) will lose out - too bad LOL!
