Asma Mobin-Uddin, president of the Columbus chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, told the Dispatch that the ad's tone and imagery were "mocking and disrespectful to many different areas. One is Islamic faith and Islamic culture." No, it is a statement of fact.

And in a few weeks, a town south of Columbus--Circleville (aka Roundtown)--is having their
100th Annual Pumpkin Show and festival! (Not jihad related*, but really fun nonetheless! ;-) Check out the website...Pumpkin Show Queens back to 1933!
Not trying to hijack the thread, but I am just wishing I could go get a new car and some pumpkin pie!

The Mitsubishi

kamikaze suicide attacks, so perhaps this advertising campaign is very befitting!

Someone please list the following:
1) Which stations are running the ad
2) Which stations are refusing to run the ad
Then we can publicize this, and let the good people of Columbus decide whether they want to listen to those stations which censor free speech.
Thank you

Doesn't Columbus have a fairly sizeable Muslim population, mostly Somali refugees?

You know what? Even if the ads got pulled and never see the light of day, his advertising mission is accomplished.
Maybe he can send CAIR a thank you card. :)

I like the mocking tone of the commercial to our islamonazi enemy, but I don't know how effective they will be in their goal of selling cars.
The public might be afraid that a car bought by a man in a burka would likely be a real bomb.

This idiot considers the acts of terrorists as "nonsense" ?
"free rubber swords for the kiddies." ... what, so they can go around playing at beheading each other ?
How about the phoney strap-on suicide bombs ... they would make a big hit at school Monday morning.
This guy managed to insult fanatical Muslims and patriotic Americans at the same time
... and as hard it may seem, maybe car dealers also ...

Now for my comment.
These CAIR folk are a pip, but this statement:
Asma Mobin-Uddin, president of the Columbus chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, told the Dispatch that the ad's tone and imagery were "mocking and disrespectful to many different areas. One is Islamic faith and Islamic culture."
"Using that as a promotional pitch when so many are dying from the criminal activity of suicide bombers, that's not funny," she said. "I don't think it's appropriate when it causes real pain. It exploits or promotes misunderstanding in terms already misunderstood or misused. That type of ad does nothing but promote discord in a very difficult time. The timing is just amazing. Maybe that's part of the shock value."
takes the cake...although it does seem to almost condemn the homicide bombers and their minions, I'm sure Asma will be taken to task for that.
As for the ad itself, it is in bad taste, but a lot of ads are, it's what makes people remember them.
