Before or after this imbecilic stunt?

I really do enjoy viewing a post that calls reason into the equation.

Seems to be more rare everyday.

Perspective matters, even as much as ideology.

Maybe not AIDS, but what about Hepatitis? There are problably other blood-borne illnesses that can be transmitted in this fashion. This was an asinine thing to do,esp. for a science teacher.

Hi Gay State Conservative-

We're in agreement it was a silly move by the teacher. Furthermore, we are in agreement that the risk of dangerous infection is extremely low. The exposed metal portion of the lancet pictured below is about a millimeter in length. There is no need for FReepers to panic at this point.

There are many horrible diseases carried by blood that are fairly common and may be in one of those kids. Just because they don't have AIDS does not mean it is not an issue.

Salina is artsy-fartsy/gay enough who knows, there may be a person with AIDS in that class.
