'About 70% of WM employees (and their children) are dependent upon the government for Medicare or Medicaid.'

And were they also dependent upon the government for ALL their needs before they became employees of Wal-Mart?

Yes, more or less. Most Wal-mart/Sam's Club employees are part-timers, not eligible for benefits. Like me, they took the job knowing what the score was. If they really wanted benefits, they could have kept looking for a job that provided them.
