Nopw of course the military, for the most part, and the political groups are laughable. But it is a mistake to underestimate the French Intelligence services.
Well, something French I can finally agree with and endorse! Thanks for expanding my horizons before I made further fool of myself. (This may even balance out the fact that they also gave us the mime!)
On the military/resistance aspect of France, I had an interesting talk w a neighbor of mine who spends some time in France.
We were talking about French culture, and he mentioned that the current French population is somewhat brainwashed by a rewriting (or possibly reweighting) of French history. In a nutshell he said that French history books have been rewritten so that resistence vs. military discussions are about 12 to 1. Admittedly that is where there successes were but I just thought that was interesting.
