Downloaded this last night and from the credits voiceover,it does appear to be the Aussie feed (as it was labeled). I have not yet watched the program - either this file or as broadvast by ABC. Anyone know what to look for to know if it's the uncut version?
My guess is if there is any mention of "Lewinsky" in it, it's the uncut version.
There was less than one minute cut from the movie. Considering the fact that it was a mention of the Lewinski scandal, it's not important.
Both scenes would be on day one. The first would be to compare the scene where Sandy Burgler was conferencing with Tenet at CIA. Does it show his switching off the video conference? The second would be the conference scene after the bombing of the Sudanese chem factory and the terrorist training camps. See if Albright cops to calling the Pakis with the overflight request of the TLAMs.
Thanks. Judging from all the "ABC CAVES!!!!" posts on FR last week I was expecting worse.
I don't think it was ever about any specific scene. The Clintonistas needed an excuse so they cried about an insignificant scene but they really wanted to prevent the movie from being shown. They failed.
haha, I was going to say the same thing. If there's anything uncomplimentary about Clinton or Monica in it, it's the uncut version. In the cut version they scrabbled the video during the cut thing, I think -- as if the camera were on the blink.
I understood that 1/2 hour was cut from each night's film.
According to Rush Limbaugh there was under a minute cut.
[link: Meganova] is a great torrent site. There are quite a few more. For those that don't have a bittorrent client, I would recommend [link: Azureus] 100%.
Oh, and if you use any bittorrent client, DO NOT download any rar files, zip files, programs or games. Music and videos are generally ok.
I use BitLord, Azureus is a good client too.
Ping for later.
this is a marker.
Here also is a link for the edited out parts Clinton doesn't want you to see
for anybody who hasn't yet seen them, and in case they aren't in this Aussie version.
I just acquired a bootleg version on DVD. BBC was the source. Both the scenes you reference are in the first part.
Here's what bothers me: didn't the director (or writer) admit that the scenes in question were fictional? Did he ever say that everything in those scenes occurred, but just maybe not in the exact manner depicted? I have no doubt that the Clintonistas dropped the ball in nabbing Bin Ladin, but I seem to remember the director saying those scenes were fictional.
