Correction: A RINO state senator who is the lead sponsor said it's the first legislation of its kind in the U.S.
No way would I do this to my daughter if she were that age.
What is the logic of rejecting a treatment that prevent CANCER?
And I most likely would, but it should definitely be a parent's, not a legislator's, decision.
The immunization confers a long-term resistance to HPV. That also means the girls are less likely to get cervical cancer from something their husband will bring home (after all, the odds are they will eventually marry). Don't forget, promiscuity has been a largely male domain.
...until it's mandated that jr high age girls must have this shot.
And it will be.
Try opting out your baby from HepB & other extraneous shots....
...good luck in finding a pediatrician to take you....
..good luck in public school entrance...etc.etc.
Why would you withhold a valid vaccination from your daughter?
Realistically speaking, the argument that having had the HPV vaccine will make someone more promiscuous is absurd. How many people do you think actually take the time to mentally check their immunization record before jumping into bed with someone?
Furthermore - God forbid - if a woman is raped, she can get HPV involuntarily.
I'm pro-life and pro-family, but opposition to this vaccine is mindless.
