It's a mistake to pay any attention to Chavez, a classic clown-like third world bozo who recalls the Woody Allen flick "Bananas." He's like a monkey in the zoo, performing clownish tricks in the hope someone will notice. Paying attention to him only enhances his status. Best reaction from the White House/ State Department would be a chuckled "consider the source."
Yes, he has oil. But he can't eat it. And we could do without it if we had to. He's another good argument for opening up those Alaska fields, however.
