Freedom is not for everyone, this guy is a classic example. One cop dead and two wounded. Hope this guy never comes to trial.
"Bucky is thought to be within a couple miles of my sister's house."
Oh my! I'd be terrified. I'd call someone far away to come and get me. I couldn't stay in the area knowing he was out there.
My hubby will be attending the funeral of the dead State Trooper. So sad.
You can count on it. The NY State Police will kill him if they get the chance. The last thing they want is this moron going to trial.
He escapes from jail a few days before his release with his sentance completed. What a dipshit. Who in jail does not know...to the exact minute...when their sentance is done?
Sounds like they have him cornered, according to my mother.
I'd bet the farm this bucko won't be taken alive.
Mad Dog Phiilips
APB.. be on the lookout for Bucky....
LOL, that Bucky looks so nice. They all do until they snap.
Historically Western New York in this area is pretty nearly all owned by folks who descend from the original pre-Revolutionary population. They are: French fur traders, Dutch fur traders, Oneida Indians, Mohican Indians and Brotherton Indians.
There are others near the area, but these guys don't have a reservation ~ they just live there like other Americans, with land titles, and so forth.
However, there are "traditionalists". I'm thinking this Bucky is such an individual. He was "raised in the woods", and he killed that trooper and wounded two others in a very casual fashion just like he was dealing with wild game ~ meat ~ so to speak.
If you ever read the Leatherstocking series you know this guy from the characters of Hawkeye, Chingachgook, Uncas and Magua, but all wrapped up into one!
Is he coming out alive? I have no idea, but by now his vision quest has probably given him a pathway which will be followed faithfully to the end.
He's a man out of time with nothing left to do in the modern world but to live a life like his ancestors, something we now deem to be crimes.
The people who come into contact with him must be very careful ~ more careful than they've ever been in their lives.
PHILLIPS CAUGHT!!!! 8:00 PM
Bucky Phillips is "caught"
Looks like they are going to make him a federal case, where he will get the death penalty
The Igloo, the Frewsburger... here's to Frewsburg from a Bustonian. :)
That's "the gloo" to a true Frewsburger. :)
I was in Frewsburg over the 4th, and I just had the feeling that this Bucky thing would end up there somehow, so yesterday didn't surprise me.
For us, Busti was the place where you get speeding tickets driving to the mall.
No kidding in regards to the LBPD! I never understood the need for as much police presence as we have. Heck, going from Frewsburg to Busti, you pass through jurisdiction for Carroll, Jamestown, Ellicott, Lakewood-Busti, and not to mention Sheriffs and State Police, all prepared with their moving radar if you're going 7 mph over the posted speed limit!
