After watching Hagel on Fox and Lieberman on Slay the Nation, Lieberman was more supportive of the Commander in Chief than Hagel. You would think Lieberman was the Republican and Hagel the 'Rat.

So what, they did everything they could to get Kerry elected including Rathergate; and look at the results. The Stone-age press is not the Monopoly it once was and does not have the power to elect anymore. We do!

Thanks. A.Hun has a suggested candidate in #215, who lost to Lindsay before, and may come back (Ravenel?).

Anyone listening to this drivel from Sen. Feinstein? (Obviously, Specter isn't...he offers no coherent rebuttal).

Feinstein in essence says we need to "clear up" the issue of Iran sending weapons to Hezbollah. She talked and talked but, in the end, what she prescribes is that we "talk" to them. [she says, "For the life of me, I've never understood this attitude that we don't talk to people we disagree with!"] She cites the illegal Iranian weapons shipment confiscated by the U.S. and----we need to go talk to them about it. "This constant use of threats just doesn't work".

And there sat Specter. Perfect opportunity for him to ask: "What does 'clear up' mean? Are you implying they just mistakenly shipped the weapons? That it's all a misunderstanding? When you and your colleagues say we need to 'talk' or 'clear things up' or that 'threats don't work'---that's just meaningless drivel. Before Americans can take you seriously, you need to put some specific proposals on the table. Implying that the enemy would be satisfied with 'talk' is childish at best and mortally dangerous at worst".

Of course, in the real world, Snarlin' Arlen reserves all his snarlin' for Republicans and George Bush.

Tom I think part of that problem is the acquiescence of the driveby media. They not only let Clinton get in front of an issue, they ASSISTED him in doing so. For President Bush, they've been muffling or just not reporting his speeches, comments, defenders' comments, etc. The appearance then is Bush isn't defending himself, whereas in reality he is, but the media is just not letting you or I hear it.

Fortunately, liberal imports are still a minority. State offices are held almost completely by Republicans, and that shows no sign of changing.

He did ride his performance in the impeachment to a victory in the primary. No South Carolinian conservative I know will even consider that in 2008.

The talk here is already about the primary in 2008. McCain won't carry the state either.

InSane will be booted out of the primaries early. Impossible to win primaries w/o the base. Rudy could win the Presidency in a landslide today, but is not the best for the Country since he is socially liberal. Look for a more Conservative candidate like Allen.

I'm sick of hearing Bush/Rice were 'the biggest losers" in the U.N. ceasefire deal. If the GOP had an effective PR machine, the losers would be John Kerry, Howard Dean, the MSM and every liberal who has endlessly demanded a multilateral, peace-at-all-costs approach to the war on terror.

While I agree with you from 30,000 feet I disagree with you at ground level. John Kerry and Howard Dean are not in charge of the United States and it's foreign policy, thank God.   President Bush and Sec. Rice are in charge.  They agreed to this screwball deal, a deal that is turning out exactly as predicted. Heck, this wasn't even a prediction, it was more common sense it would turn out this way.

You say: "The U.N. and France proved beyond doubt that their "word" is worthless."  I agree with you 100%, then squared.

If you are claiming that the President was swayed by the liberal, UN, French thinking pantywaists of the world into accepting this deal, who's fault is that?  A President can't accept a dumb deal that puts Israel at risk in the short run and puts civilization in the balance in the long run just so you can later blow raspberries at the left and say "na, na, na, na, na ... told you so!"

Thanks very much for these "media nuggets," Anita. The story about Today Show "anchorwoman," Ann Curry is a perfect example (yet again) of the lib's penchant to bark at everyone, while doing the same things (or worse). "Do AS I Say, Not AS I Do."

I did have to copy and paste it so I could increase the size of the font to actually be able to read it.

you know about my eye troubles, so this is a topic near and dear to my heart.  I use FireFox exactly for this reason.  You can make the font size on a web page as large as you need.  If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel just hold down the control key and you can "scroll" the font size directly.

Firefox is a free download and, so far, is not having as many security exploits as Microsoft's Internet Explorer.

NO, I'm not claiming Bush was swayed by their argument.

I'm pointing out the hypocracy of those who've demanded just such a route for so many years. Then---when Bush trys it their way and the result is exactly what conservatives predicted--- they blame Bush.

It should be self evident to them that the U.N. route will always be a loser....it occurs to one that may be why they like it so much.

Yes, Lautenberg's aide said it was important that we be balanced in our surveillance. Guess he meant that the terrorists get equal treatment as our innocent Americans.

I was just going to comment on the NYT newbie. Great going Fox!! Good grief!!!

I saw that person on the show and my first thought was that it was, "Bring your daughter to work day". Not so much her physical appearance, as her manner of speech and thought process.

If this was her first appearance on a national show, that might explain part of it. Hard to believe she works for a newspaper that is supposed to be a leader.
